The luvscale has been fine tuned over many years on not606 and it's now the standard on the forum that everyone goes by, it's patented so don't try and steal it.
That's crazy speak, it's a fine line between 8.7 and 8.8 but there a whole algorithm that decides that point.
again just make it a 3 ... the rating isn't designed to help someone that puts a 9 minute microwave meal in for 8 mins and 50 seconds.
The scale doesn't work without the point. There's a huge chasm between let's say a 6 film and a 7 film.
For example Rambo and Commando both favourites of yours I imagine. By your simple logic they may both ends up being an 8 in your head but Rambo is by far the better film and Giving Commando an 8 is just too much praise. So. Rambo 8.2 Commando 7.8 *Not my ratings.
both are the same **** you're giving a rough indication of how **** something is these days ... nothing more
But one is better **** than the other so no way they can share the same rating. I hope I've enriched your life and set you on the path of mastering the luvscale, it takes time but you'll get there.
it's a 1 to 10 scale designed to give a rough idea to a person what they can expect.. I've just told you that your ratings are completely useless as a guide...
The whole forum uses the luvscale mate, some have even mastered it. You just need to concentrate and see between the lines.
I've never in life watched a film rated a 9 and said to myself actually I think that was a 8.8 .. it's just unnecessary
furthermore once you've rated everything from 1.1 to 9.9 it ruins the scale to the degree nothing is clear enough in order to make a simple assessment... it's just a big scrambled up mess of what was once a simple system
