Hull City are to delay their return to first-team training next week as they take additional steps to protect the health of players and staff. City began a first round of coronavirus testing today in keeping with EFL instructions but a proposal to resume training in small groups at the club’s Cottingham base on Monday has now been put back. It is understood the Tigers will go through a second round of tests early next week as a precautionary measure, with vice chairman Ehab Allam keen to keep the well-being of players a “primary concern.” The green light could then been given for Grant McCann and his players to resume on Thursday.
