I knew that us, Norwich and WBA were all out of the relegation zone at various points during the afternoon. And I knew that Pompey's limp performance had technically relegated Palace, rather than us. But I'd totally forgotten that Palace had their own, albeit fairly brief, spell out of the relegation zone that afternoon too.

This will be a ****show. It's inevitable that a team will have an outbreak, as has already happened, and I don't think anyone has figured out how to handle a team having to be quarantined for a few weeks.

Just send out the kids. I’m sure that wouldn’t impact a team in 17th if their kids play a few games. <doh>

Basically, what if Lasagnagate lasted for three weeks and also affected half the teams in the league? Such drama!

I want sports back as much as anyone, but this seems more likely to be farce.

At least a month before it will start, plenty of time for something to go wrong.

I like how they say they're going to keep the identities private, not sure how that'll work with players once games are underway. Or will it be disguised as a 'knock'?

Not that I don't understand why they're doing so now.

The problem is, depending on who the player/s are a team’s season could be destroyed. Especially if they play for a bottom 8 team, who often rely heavily on one or two key players.
Imagine if it was Danny Ings and Nathan Redmond for example. Would we still have enough goals/creativity in the team to pick up the points required to guarantee safety?
If not careful, we could be heading into a summer of lawsuits with the make up of next season’s premier league still uncertain.

You just have to deal with it. There's probably more chance a player will sustain a season ending injury than catching coronavirus.
