Try this Spag bol - 1 teaspoon chilli powder. No beans, pasta. Chilli = 5 spoons chilli powder and 2/3 fresh chilli, kidney beans, rice. Big diff
Next day it's acceptable to add chili's or hot sauce but not on the night it's made. That's the rule.
Chilli should have cumin, coriander, smoked paprika, fresh oregano, a cinnamon stick...... definitely different to bolognese mate, yes.
So the only difference between your spag bol and chilli con carne is kindey beans. Kinda sad if it is tbh mate.
Chilli for me too...or I’d have to grate a mature cheese on it to bring some strong flavour...on its own a bit meaty and meh I don’t do any of this ‘it’s supposed to be like’....it’s supposed to taste and be like you want it to be...that’s food for me. Doesn’t mean I don’t stick to recipes but many dishes are open to interpretation
