Does MADBERB agree with the interest. story?
He’s not commented yet but has posted a cryptic message about ‘David said NO’. I am assuming David is one of the three senior personnel / investors he discussed potentially coming on board at the club.
Nailed itThis current virus crisis had crystallised the situation imo.
No serious people will want to be associated with Donald and become part of his set up.
He doesn't have the means, either financially or logistically, to turn this around.
He's lost all goodwill and momentum, the club is worth less than when he bought it, not more.
The chances of attracting a new buyer are very slim indeed, especially given the virus.
All of which leaves two options. Either Donald continues to struggle, but now without the support and the gates, and we end up in a bigger mess. Or FPP, in one scenario or another, take over and put in the people they'd identified when they first wanted to buy the club. That will take money but would virtually guarantee promotion in one season, thereby achieving something Donald may never manage.
If, on the strength of Donald's performance so far, they want to 'invest in him further' then I'll abandon all trust in my own judgement. Donald came, saw and failed ...
... it's time for him to face facts and go back to his level, this is too big for him.
The gig’s up but he wants to stretch his five minutes of fame out for as long as possible. This current virus crisis had crystallised the situation imo.

I am sadly resigned to the simple reality that FPP want us in the championship. I don't think it's a bad reflection on them as investors, but in this case it's obviously **** because we're probably going to be in L1 in 2020/21.
Donald has definitely taken the piss a bit, I have massive concerns with how he's run us from a financial pov, but conversely it seems likely that he is the most likely conduit for an FPP takeover. I don't believe someone else would be ok with taking over their financial arrangement, unless they're a similar level to Donald and trying to chance their arm for a very small profit. It's way too limiting to get a 'good' owner.
Which means we are in catch 22. To get rid of Donald and co, we need him to buy players, act in good faith, and use the FPP money to achieve promotion. I think the more we're forcing him out, the less likely he is and ultimately that means he will either sell to someone other than FPP, or he'll stick around and run it with a degree of animosity driving his decisions.
So I don't know how to feel. I want FPP, that's the obvious best case scenario, but then I think there's a likelihood given how ****e Donald has been with a lot of advantages over the last 2 years, that we won't get promoted even if he hoyed £4-5m at us this year. At that point we'd be without much chance of FPP taking us and probably vulnerable to another chancer nabbing us.
Unfortunately the options all feel ****ing **** now. It would be great if FPP came out and publicly set out their position, but as has been said before by people here, they have no obligation and that's probably not happening.
So we're in limbo.
