Did all the support for your betting antics break not606? I've been hammering refresh for the past few hours and nothing! Hope you took those alternate bets mate.

And I hope for my sanity that these problems never happen again! I can't stand the 'oops broken' message.

Chappaz came out with £100 apparently, said he put a couple of last minute bets on Sunderland and Norwich wins.

Hoyed £200 on Norwich and Sunderland each, so all in all, £100 profit on a £2 bet. Funnily enough the largest sports betting win I've ever had, but also one of the most painful.

Shame the site was down for the duration of the match. Would have liked to have vented my heart attack moments on here.

I do love a good bet so was gutted that the site went down for the entire match. Never want the unwashed to get a result but when that Dong lad came close at the end I was actually in support of your financial well-being!

In the words of Vin Diesel's character Dominic "Dom" Toretto from The Fast and The Furious, " It doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile; winning's winning."

The comments from Cestriamackem and master-simpson made me laugh on the Sunderland board. Those two were actually rooting for a Sunderland loss just so Chappaz didn't win any money <doh>.

Don't be disheartened though Chappaz, you missed out on your big win, so it's still yet to come for you.

You only get one though mate, so get it wisely!

I was in a weird 'refresh' vortex. Phone and laptop being utilised to their full refreshing potential, but alas, no end product. Devastated. I'm with you Beatski, I demand an explanation!

Found it shocking to be honest. If you wish your own team to lose just so a mag doesn't win a bet it's just... There are no words to describe it really.

Thanks for the kind words fellas. This board has made me laugh and cheered me up. Gonna have a glass of one of my best single malts and a cuban* now to drown my sorrows in a delicious manner.

    * When I posted on the "gentleman's hour" thread I was often genuinely drinking scotch and smoking a cigar.

Got a few more £3 accumulators on already!

Crazy acca's are the way forward. But you really need the luck for them to work.

My win came on a £2 12-fold with no draws. I still remember it like it was yesterday. Leeds were 2 - 1 down at Carlisle on 72 mins so the slip went in the bin at work. They came back and won 3 - 2 with goals in the 80th and 86th minute. Also Reading and Plymouth were drawing 1 - 1 late on and Shane Long scored a 94th minute penalty to win me £725.

On the other hand, Plymouth beat Charlton 2 - 1 in 2007 to let me down for £3000 off a 50p 14-fold.

It'll happen for you mate. Working in betting shops, I see people win these daft bets a lot, but like I say, you only generally get the one!

Mad accumulators are a rare beast, I just tend to go for the larger stakes, lower odds. Risky, but it works for me.

In the last few months I've seen a lad win £1000 off a 25p bet, and a bloke win over £2000 off £2. The other night we took a £300 treble and Man Utd let the bloke down for £1000. Football is a funny old game and there aren't many certainties.

The way I've won on the football lately is bookings doubles. Me and my mate have had a few of them up!

    Massive massive ****ers.

Especially after Cest yesterday started talking about how much he cared about the Derby games <doh>

For him, then to say, he hoped Sunderland would lose, just so Chappaz doesnt win any money. Is abit of a contradiction to what he was saying yesterday.

It worries me, these two claim to have actual lives.

What could they contribute to society? Bin cleaning maybe?

Well I've certainly got more respect for Cestriamackem than I do for master-simpson, but it was very childish from both of them. Even if us losing meant Sunderland weren't going to win the league, I'm not sure I'd be willing us to lose.

I've had quite a bit of luck with the both teams to score acc or the +2.5 goals in a match. I tend to think a bit more before I put a high stakes bet on, the odd fiver here or there on a spontaneous high odds accumulator doesn't seem much, but it adds up!
