Just seen the full PMQs. Seems like Boris has been caught out yet again for misleading people. It becoming quite a consistent habit. A true leader!!!
This might be a shock but I actually agree with Ellers.....this crisis has shown up the supposed unity of the EU (essentially what it is there for) to be an absolute farce. Of course no one really wishes ill on our neighbours but what all this should remind us is that when push comes to shove.....it’s every man for himself.
Cool. I wanted to say the 'push comes to shove' bit myself but I thought some may find offense. Truth is the EU won't care about us and we need to put ourselves first. I want to see a thriving EU while it's still together as that benefits us.
I think it basically says f22k off Starmer. As if he will return to the house? Boris is correct in one part and I was going to mention this the other day. Boris has been working (cross-party) with Starmer and Sturgeon recently and they knew about certain things (in COBRA) but criticised in public when announced. If he continues like this he will get dropped from the meetings. I now see Starmer's game plan (with a bit of help from a political reporter)
Can I ask a question Ellers.....How come you refer to one of the leaders by his first name and the other two by their surnames ? Is it just ‘cos Johnson is seen as this cuddly buffoon that everyone thinks is cuddly and lovely....(and you and others don’t realise you are doing it)......or is it for another reason and you do it on purpose. Genuine question and not having a pop
Yay Brexit. Government rejects Agriculture Bill amendment https://f7td5.app.goo.gl/u9kgSA Sent via @updayUK
Must admit I wondered if our dear ardent Brexiters would countenance pushing back negotiations in light of you know, a ****ing global pandemic but it seems not.
What this nation needs!! Someone who will call this government on their persistent lies. He needs to do this time and time again. It’s unbelievable that the Torys lies go unchecked, well done Sir Kier!!
It's refreshing to actually have an opposition again. Surely even Corbyn's most ardent supporters are starting to see that a little professionalism goes a long way...
agree I’m possibly more akin to Corbyn’s politics but Starmer is certainly the professional statesman who might get a bit of respect on the world stage.
Johnson's loose relationship with the truth being exposed by Starmer's barristerial precision will be fun.
In the past I have said Jezza then again I always say Gove/Raab/Hancock/Sharma/Farage/Trump/Macron Not sure why you ask? People refer to him as Boris and papers as Bojo. If Starmer had a first name like Dazza I would probably call him that.
But Lawyers are boring and he comes across as dull as dishwater. The PMQ's 2 weeks ago he went on and on. People will get bored with him... I am now!
