Watford his speech the other night was very good. Agree it lacked the full facts but he had passion in him. Did you not notice his body language (the clenching of the fist)? That wasn't faked. People can say all they want on here but Boris is a popular guy.

Maybe he's popular in your cosy little corner in the South East - I can guarantee you he's as popular as a case of chronic diarrhea up here

She’s not party to “the science” as far as I know. Not many people are.

Of course the government has cost lives. Tens of thousands of them. She’d be unwise to say that though and give them another distraction piece.
'She’s not party to “the science” as far' Then she should not criticise.
This is where your argument collapses. You can't simply accuse someone of something without having proof?

So nobody can criticise our tens of thousands of deaths strategy because they’ve chosen not to be open about the info used to come to the decisions they have. That’s convenient.

There will always be parts of the country with differing opinions but I talk regularly to non-Tory friends who like him.
You don't want to go down that road again because I said the same Re Brexit/Election and was mocked but I was right.
Boris is popular.

It says an awful lot about our sophisticated electorate but you’re correct on this one.

You're trying to get off the argument Watford... stick to what we are discussing.
When Raynor couldn't answer why she had been so critical of the government she accused Kay Burley (of all people) of "sticking up for the government". That is not the sort of thing I expect to hear from the deputy leader of the opposition. Embarrassing.

Seems like a pretty tiny misdemeanour time get annoyed about in the grand scheme of things right now.

Boris is more popular than the opposition - that's not the same as being popular in it's own right

You think all the electorate are thick as mince (I believe the saying goes). We have done that argument and would say that maybe in some cases you have a point. I mean who in the right mind would have voted for that idiot Corbyn? The worst opposition leader I can ever remember (although Micheal Foot was a pr2t). Many people did... are they 'thick as mince' as well?

Boris has good ratings and is liked by many. Other than on here and a few on social media, the vast amount of people I used to talk to, like him.

I’ve never said all the electorate are. In fact I’ve had to clarify that umpteen times because certain posters get upset.

A lot of people who can’t afford to be worse off will be worse off under Johnson than they would have been under Corbyn. Those people are easily led and bought into a simple message that appealed to them.

Corbyn was destroyed by media including social media, what ever happened to the Russian report. The majority of what people criticise him for and believe about him is wrong

I think he is genuinely popular in his own right. He says what people want to hear. 99% of people don’t want detail or something they have to analyse.
Watford sometimes a leader is a figurehead and behind them, they have a good team (maybe I will regret that statement when we have HanCock). He is liked around the World and gets on brilliantly with other leaders. he may gloss over detail but he has great vision (London Olympics best ever and I don't even like watching it). He will be the best person to lead this country through Brexit and beyond. The Covid cr2p has taken away what would have been an ambitious time for our country. Once this is over I would rather have him leading us than anyone else.

Fair enough. I’d rather someone intelligent, hardworking and competent myself.

Such a brilliant team behind him.
