I'd say that has aged well, set 2000 years ago, jokes taking the piss out of religion. What's dated about it since it was made?

In my top 1 comedy film of all time.

That's as much as needs to be said on the matter.

Aye it was banned in the North, we watched it in a youth club in Ballycastle just after the ban was lifted I think (about 1994?) and it was hilarious. Sat wee C down to watch it the other year and it was ****e.

It isn't even near the level of Stir Crazy or Trading Places etc.

    1994!
It's funnier than all the yank comedies and hasn't aged. I watched Trading Places two months ago, good film, ending is a bit weak. Blazing Saddles (which you go on to mention), most oft-repeated scene is the beans make you fart bit. Puerile humour. Need to rewatch Stir Crazy as was a kid when I last saw it.

I watched Stir Crazy the other day, still thought it was good but not as good as I remembered. Put me in the mood for another of theirs though and I watched See No Evil, Hear No Evil. Of the two I always thought I preferred Stir Crazy but having watched both again consecutively See No Evil, Hear No Evil gets the verdict.

Probably wouldn't have found that out of it wasn't for lockdown, every cloud n that eh.
