I'd rather pay more and have ewertherton on a 4 month contract he was killer on LMA manager and if his any good we have first refusal

fkn Terry Alex Rio Ferdinand and Vidic will be crapping it now, we dont go out and spend millions in the transfer window we wait a week and sign our big name players
 
He will just sit on the bench incase Ranger,Lover and Best get injured. Imagine this guy is just plan B....actually make that plan D.
 
Ah come on guys!! He's got a contract to the end of the season only and costs nowt. He is just an emergency sit on the bench just in case. He isn't a main striker. Give the club a little bit of slack over this.

He won't be asking big wages, he's only here to cover injuries and he's got experience. Not prolific but he's a big target man and can be a good influence on the young 'uns in training.

He's kind of a Heskey-type but not quite as good. He'll only be with us for a few months so if he signs lets make him feel welcome. <ok>

It's been stated by the board and Pardew also stated when he took over that youth was the future, so here we are trying to sign a 34 year old nobody.

If he's just going to sit on the bench then what's wrong with continuing to use academy players and giving people like Airy a chance to experience the match day squad
 
I guess he's good enough as a short-term solution while Ameobi is injured, Airey is also injured... and Best, Ranger and Lover still have a lot to prove, so I guess... decent enough cover but would've liked someone a bit younger and with a bit more skill and pace.. a Brazilian called.. Everton?
