League One is far from decided, I can't see PPG getting approval surely!...

Gary Neville was on Sky this morning talking about L1/2 as he’s obvs a part owner of a L2 outfit.

His view is that those leagues are done unless the PL somehow decide to pay for the cost of them finishing behind closed doors. He also said he can’t see how an easy agreement could be made regarding PPG etc.

I agree, you only have to look at this table, to see the season was far from finished...

Exactly, how can you award promotion places off the back of that, and maintain that there’s any integrity involved?

From that article, it states that on PPG Coventry, Rotherham and Oxford would go up. I think Sunderland, Peterborough and Portsmouth might have something to say about that. Also my lot were one of the top form sides, with the new loans we had bought in, and we still had Coventry and Rotherham to play, so no way was anything guranteed for those two sides. Coventry still had Oxford to play, so points would have been dropped in that game by one of them, by both if it was a draw. Coventry still had the Posh to play as well. So Coventry had two games in the top four places, which include them!

I just don’t see there being any fair way to award final positions for this season. Taking current standings or using PPG just seems to **** on the great thing about football, that anything can happen from game to game and nothing is guaranteed. How many times do teams bottle promotion, bottle the title, bottle the top four etc... and teams who string together a handful of wins and escape relegation.

It might seem **** for the teams who expect to achieve something this season but I really think it just needs to be scrapped.

I was actually looking forward to our run in. We were eight points off the play-offs and had only lost one of about our last 18 league games. Which included taking points at Sunderland, Oxford, Peterborough and Portsmouth. There is absolutely no way our league was over.

When football returns players like Kyle Walker who show they are unwilling to follow health procedures need to be banned for the safety of everyone else.

Ill let you have a suck 1st.<whistle>

Gonners down in 9th and afcftw wants season scrapped.

Shocking scenes<laugh>

Makes no difference to Arsenal really. Obviously if the season resumes we have a chance to go for CL and the FA Cup. I just don’t think it’ll be possible to finish the season though. And PPG gets us europa league at spurs expense. Really don’t see there’s much of a best option for Arsenal. What’ll be will be.

My point was purely from a footballing perspective. It seems **** to award and punish teams for a season that in reality has failed to finish and is a write off.

Kyle Walker is such a twat. His comments asking people to feel sorry for him were sickening. What a stupid ****. As if we should feel sorry for him.

Everyone else is going through the same lockdown but don’t have the same level of comfort as top footballers do, but we should feel sorry for him and thinks it’s ok for him to break social distancing rules and see family while the rest of us struggle through? ****.
