Sadly Beth I believe a lot of people have been scared and talked out of going to hospital. In these figures there will be a huge number of deaths in care homes. I would also imagine that a lot of sick people at home are unable to get a visit from their GP's and we know that a lot of practices are closed.
I know from personal experience that many of those being treated in hospital are merely having end of life management as their condition is beyond repair.
Sadly also the suicide rate is up. Anyone in an already fragile state can easily feel overwhelmed in the current climate.

Increased suicide rates (now, during lockdown and in the future as a result of consequent austerity) are a largely unconsidered impact of lockdown.

Oh dear, in my opinion it’s the mainstream media lying, but it seems on here it’s all Labour supporters saying Boris is lying, and all Tory supporters are saying no he isn’t, I think you’ll find if Labour were in power, all Tory supporters would be saying they were lying and labour would be defending them in the same fashion, but as I’ve said once if not a dozen times opinions are like assholes, everybody has one.
At the moment the entire country is playing the blame game, left blaming right and right blaming left and the dirty c*nts in the mainstream media are fanning the flames of an out of control fire enjoying their role.
Too many people probably me included are arguing without true facts and calling each other for no other reason than our hatred of political parties, both sides believing what they say as gospel, and too be honest some of the stuff I’ve seen on here just lately defies belief, and all I did was ask a question asking for a bit of proof or a source to be told by our left wing colleagues on here it’s all Boris’s fault and the government are lying, ok will somebody provide proof they are actually lying, and if it’s 100% proved then I’ll accept it but until then I stick by my convictions that none of us ( possibly excluding Beth, and Staines) and including me have no f*cking idea and all we’re doing is backing our respective political beliefs be they right or wrong and I don’t think it’ll change until somebody provides some actual fact irrefutable proof as too what is true and what isn’t.
I write this with no malice towards any on here, just the way I currently feel, have a good a day as possible folks and remember it’ll soon be over and we can all get back to our love of footie and QPR.

Not all of them are alone, and even if they are why not phone for help.....
Or are all of them too scared to go to hospital...surely no.
......is it because death is more rapid and sudden.


Do they have limited symptoms, and suddenly breathlessness becomes an inability to breathe?
Does it affect the heart resulting in heart attacks?
Is the virus cause other vital organ failure?

Are some of the deaths a bit more "out of the blue" and unexpected and sudden

My own personal opinion, as I’ve said before and I think the figures for A & E visits confirm, is that people are scared of being taken to hospital and therefore scared to call an ambulance. I have lost count of the number of occasions that people have refused to go to hospital, as is their right, and I cannot kidnap them even though I sometimes wish I could.
Obviously I can’t go into individual cases but I can say that I personally know of patients who will die or have died because they didn’t call for help sooner.

With regard to your points about the sudden onset of life threatening conditions....that’s a bit out of my remit. We use certain pathways to determine whether or not someone should be conveyed to hospital....eg NEWS2 and CRB 65......the parameters can and have changed as to who should and who shouldn’t go in...
Anecdotally, we do seem to be going to more arrests than usual......

Turkish, do you believe it was the government or the media that lied about the PPE that was meant to be coming from Turkey a couple of weeks ago.......Government said it was arriving on that weekend, the Turks said it wasn’t even ordered till the Sunday..

That’s all I know, so honest question, do you think the government lied ?

Bob your hatred of all things Tory is not good for your health mate, remember the ****ing government don’t order hospital supplies, the government don’t manage hospitals and care homes, the MANAGERS of each NHS trust do, have you ever considered that maybe they are at fault and not the government wholly, yes they could have managed it better, but remember as well they rely on information being passed up the chain and if the info is wrong, the reaction to it will be wrong as well.

I think, having spoken to my son in law in Turkey that the stuff was ordered but the paperwork on both sides was incorrect, now having lived in Turkey I can assure you they are more anal than the Germans when it comes to dotting the i’s and crossing the T’s, and let’s be honest we all know Mr Erdogans Government don’t always tell it as it is, however I don’t think anybody lied deliberately but someone somewhere bent the truth, but like I’ve said until the media stop lying about everything and stop sensationalising stories to sell news, we’ll probably never know.

I was aware that your criteria for taking to hospital may have changed as well.
The possibility of sudden death is extremely worrying

I personally believe this maybe why so many care home deaths occur. In different times, many people who fall in care homes are taken to hospital. I do not believe they are now. I am also thinking about what it is doing to the care home workers to see their charges, who they may have looked after for years, die in front of them. On the news it showed a home where they had lost 25% of their residents. Think about that...to see that number of people who you have cared for die.



I mentioned the theory of Gaia a few weeks back ( which proposes that living organisms interact with their inorganic surroundings on Earth to form a synergistic and self-regulating, complex system that helps to maintain and perpetuate the conditions for life on the planet.) It scares me a lot.

I personally am not having a good day, thinking about all this.

Labour are not in power so that is totally irrelevant mate. The fact of the matter is that the government did decrease the virus on the gov website as Woody said many moons ago. Nobody has even tried to explain that yet.

What has my like or dislike for Tories got to do with anything. That's what some people dont understand. This could be any party and if they acted in this way I would feel exactly the same! If it were Labour or Lib Dems, I could imagine Ellers, yourself and others demanding resignations over the incompetence. I myself only hold the government in power to account, regardless of ifs and buts. It's disgusting that we continuously put up with it. Some are happy and some see the corruption. I could just as easily say that people refuse to see the ****show because they are Tories. I haven't said that because I hope to believe people arent that simple.
