Watched Odd Thomas again today. Very enjoyable movie that the late Anton Yelchin shines in.

Whilst I enjoyed the Hateful 8 it's about half an hour too long. Django is not as good as Pulp Fiction and Tarantino's best film is Jackie Brown.

History will agree with me.

It always does.

Pulp Fiction is a good film but it was deliberately pretentious in my opinion. It was a pretentious time and I’m not saying that was a bad thing. If it was released now I think it would be a flop.

films now are ****

Odd Thomas as in the Dean Koontz books?

Steven Sommers made a fist of bringing the first book to the screen a few years back. 2013 I think.

Before it's release it was subject to litigation. The production companies had a barny. So it was shelved and eventually only got a limited release.

You will find it on Amazon and possibly Netflix. It's a decent effort tbh.

The Odd Thomas books are great btw. If anybody is looking for sommit to read during lockdown.

Cheers ALDO, i love those books and had no idea someone had made a film of them <ok>

I haven't been to the pictures in about 5 years. Probably worth grabbing on dvd to watch with the lad though.
Yeah definitely. My daughter loves it and there’s just enough hidden stuff to keep the adults entertained.

Running through treacle watching the third series of Westworld. Committed to getting to the end but looking forward to it being over.

Honestly, Westworld is one of the most disappointing series I've ever watched. After season 1 I was hyped, very quickly in season 2 I realised this **** isn't going anywhere.

I think that stems from the unnecessary flashback, I don't know what it adds for us to witness the gang taking over the haberdashery and slaughtering those overly friendly people. I guess it was to show the true evil of the gang, but I think we could use our imagination. Weird because usually Quentin leaves quite a lot for interpretation, the Hateful 8 reveals every single detail, you know exactly what happened beginning til end from multiple points of view.

It's a damn good movie imo, but I can fully understand why it was so polarising.
