R.I.P Norman Hunter.

I have a menu from a sportsman's dinner in the early 90@s called The Hardmen Of Football. The speakers were Norman Hunter, Tommy Smith and Norman Whiteside all signed my menu card. I used to go to a lot of such dinners around then, but remember that one as being one of the better ones. Other good ones were John Toshack, Nobby Stiles and Phil Tuffnel.

Yeah, saw that RIP bite yer legs. Not as hard as Tommy, but hard enough <laugh>

Has anyone got one of those air fryers or know if they're any good? Our deep fat fryer needs replacing and was wondering if an air fryer was a healthy option.

Decent enough for an average family. We tried to do with one and had to make two loads. Chips and stuff are healthier but not as good as deep fat fried. In saying that I miss chips cooked in lard.

Out on the bike again this evening for a 15 mile spin incorporating some hill climbing this time. Sunny and just about warm enough for short sleeves and shorts today, slightly chilly getting going and on the downhills but apart from that pretty nice and only light wind. Saw a couple of boys out on their bikes too, 'mamil eurotwats' as you would affectionately call them ... speaking of which I'm looking at getting some new kit, jerseys and a gilet, so I might join them, although not quite a 'mamil' I could deffo become a 'eurotwat' if I choose the right pieces. Riding music was no riding music. On Tuesday when I last went out it was While She Sleeps

Ordered myself a bike a couple of days ago, was due to arrive Monday but turned up this morning <diva>

Built it but found a problem, I can't pump the tyres up, its a presta valve so had to order a adaptor :(
