How about we compromise on “we got him out but not very quickly”?Fair enough. I’d certainly like to think the fans had something to do with it.
However, it also took 13 years and a global pandemic - so my original point still stands, I think.

If it happens as we have been told, with £100s millions immediately invested in infrastructure and squad... It wont have lost it's edge. MA, Charnley out, Sports Direct signs removed, ambition being shown. People keep saying we've been waiting 13 years since showing ambition. It's been 15. The last reasonably ambitious (if misguided) year was 2005 when we signed Owen, Luque, Emre, Parker and brought Solano home.could be weeks of this to go .. by time it happens it will have lost its edge

Don't care. If someone has to be cut up into small bits to enable us to win something.. so be it. I'm in, balls deep!Sorry lads. I know I will get **** for this but there's something about this takeover that's leaving me feeling a bit hallow about it all.
We will get rid of Ashley which is ****ing brilliant.
But let's not ignore the fact that the club is being used to whitewash Saudi's awful reputation.
I know you can say that loads of owner's have dubious moral standings, but the Saudis are on another level. They're like the level 10 boss if there was a game of fighting c*nts.
In short, happy we'll be backed and likely successful again, not happy about Saudi owners.
No one got Ashley out, he chose to leave when it suited him. He's had us over a barrel for 13 years, I will not allow those ****ing fan groups to claim a victory here.![]()
with their silly belief that its their club
Agreed. What we have to remember here is what has happened has happened. Are they trying to clean up their act. Maybe. Does it mean we are rich beyond our wildest dreams. Yes. But it’s the opportunity that presents itself here.I agree that the Saudi’s are bloody awful and would have preferred any other owner willing to make the club a project (ie decent training ground, facilities, infrastructure as a minimum).
However how does me not enjoying their takeover help in any way?
Indeed hoping that some of their sportswashing becomes first genuine globalisation and finally modernisation is probably fractionally less naive than thinking a fan protest would change the kingdom any faster.
We sadly couldn’t even get a fat cockney out of Newcastle - let alone a Wahabist kingdom out of the dark ages.
Or, admittedly, there is that view point...Don't care. If someone has to be cut up into small bits to enable us to win something.. so be it. I'm in, balls deep!
Capital T for Those. Otherwise not a bad group of words. B+those groups will be the absolute first to complain about this new regime. Mark my words.
