He was editor of the Daily Mirror for years.

Labour through and through.

He didn’t come across as terribly Labour through and through in the run-up to the election. So many journalists these now are just propagandists for the government that one who isn’t is the one to focus on.

Don't be daft. He doesn't care about anything other than himself. He just happens to have found an opening as someone in the media willing (and able, because they won't speak to serious journalists) to hold the government to account.

I have no problem with what he’s trying to do. No fan of the truth should be. I’d rather he gave people more of a chance to speak is all. I’d also rather he wasn’t such a narcissistic prick too. But no problem with the truth.

yes, piers morgan is a twat. I haven't watched or read any of his stuff in years, doing so is just promoting him and i'd rather not be doing that

Have to agree with that to be fair. He's only bothered about himself but he is asking questions that should be asked but never seem to be. I dont like the bloke, he has his own agenda but at the moment he's the only person scrutinizing some of the ridiculous actions or lack of actions by the government.

He's no kind of socialist at all, Col. He doesn't have to believe what he's saying, he's a journalist. If government representatives won't appear on serious programmes, it's down to the likes of Morgan to ask the difficult questions. He's doing that well.

Do you think so?
I quite liked him before this crisis but I think his behaviour has been disgraceful. There's one thing holding the government to account which is fine but all he seems to want to do is get his opinion heard and not let his guests speak. He aggressively talks over them and is only concerned with point scoring. Despite missing out on the gorgeous Susanah Reid I've switched over to BBC now.

So would (bloody)I! WTF! this surely shouldn't be happening.
What else is strange is that I have heard on two different media outlets that apparently something like 4 Million Chinese took flights across the globe (many from Wuhan) just before this all kicked off and before the lockdown over there. No wonder the World has it!

Yes, that's when the damage was done. Chinese New Year. It needing locking down before that. Milan has a huge Chinatown.

Yeah, I know what you mean about his technique, but no one from the government will submit to serious media - or more importantly, parliamentary - scrutiny. Because we are in a crisis situation they think they should be able to get away with a daily propaganda broadcast. This is wrong. I keep hearing people saying that we shouldn't criticise them because 'they're doing their best in a difficult situation'. If their best isn't good enough, why should we put up with it?

Bit dumb to suggest they’re all infected. Dumb at best frankly and I know you aren’t dumb.

Just saying it’s the equivalent of about 200,000 Brits being abroad at any given time.
This is what I will discussing on the Conspiracy thread mate. Some are saying ( by the way they maybe wrong) that China allowed many to fly even though they knew they had it.

All this does seriously intrigue me. Keep digging Ellers. Just nipping out to collect a chinese.

He was editor of the sun's showbiz column bizarre for years
He might have been at the sun longer than the mirror
In all honesty, I couldn't give a **** who he voted for, who he likes, doesn't like, point scoring, popularity, air time etc etc. He asks the questions that need asking right now or questions some of the decisions that have been made. I'm glad for that cos no other **** is and we just suck up what we are told without a second thought. His aggressive nature is without a doubt rude and obnoxious but how many times do politicians actually answer a ****ing question? Next to never or they just divert on to something else.

We should be questioning and demanding why thousands of people are landing daily at airports and then are just free to go wherever they like without even a single check on their health! We should be asking why PPE has been and still in some places is a problem to obtain. Ventilators etc, lockdown restrictions etc. Apparantly (according to matt hancock) in january we were one of the best prepared countries in the world for what was coming. We have the right to question that but unfortunately, Joe Public doesn't have the voice.
