I love the man and plan on getting my hair cut in the same tribal warrior mahawk fashion (Although I doubt i'l pull it off as im white, ginger and vcompletely un-tribal looking) but its all been said before.

Unfortuantly there's a price for every player and if his is matched we might struggle to keep a hold of him. Be it through his wishes or others at the club.

Great news but let's not forget the back page headline in regards to Carroll on the last day of the transfer deadline...

Footballers and their loyalty to clubs is generally a suspect relationship.

Positive words from the fella, hope he stays true to them.

But as others have said we thought the same with Carroll and look where we are now!!!!!

The good thing is he'll be getting an improved contract in the summer, so hopefully that'll put people off and raise his wage to keep him happy. Fingers Crossed

  6. Hope he stays, but i doubt he'd turn down the chance to play for Chelsea. But we can hope.

Depends, would he get first team football at Chelsea? Sure he is good enough. But if he feels they wouldn't respect him the way we do maybe he would turn them down.

Or he will follow in Carroll's footsteps and leave.

So long as we're making progress towards Europe (as in over next couple of seasons) I think we'll keep him. He has a chance to be at the centre of a growing, (hopefully) Europe-bound team, which is surely more satisfying than being on the fringe of a champion contender.

Of course he would. He would make Essien and Ramires look like Jim Belushi in midfield.
