If this had nothing to do with politics then why are the government so involved.

People stunned how Universal Credit does not even pay the basic living costs. Maybe don't read the tabloid lies in future.

one of the few pleasures of working for the DHSS on early 80's was disabusing middle class ****ers that in real life you didn't just pop into the see us and let us know how much they needed/wanted .
Oh and they always seemed to think it was a ridiculous imposition that i actually wanted to check the bollox they told me .

You think EU freedom of movement caused all this? Just as a quick question, have you any idea how much Chinese tourists and students add to our economy?

I wouldn't dispute what you are saying, and I don't just mean the EU, however, the spread of the pandemic without doubt is as a result of freedom of movement throughout the world today, with some exceptions obviously (which also impacts global warming). Certainly what none of us are rehearsed in is shutting those borders when required, because we've never had a reason to where pandemics are concerned. BUT....if all of us had acted sooner, and if China was a bit more forthwith the truth, we could deal with pandemics and protect more lives.

Edit; it's also interesting to note you use the word 'economy' - it's the greed of the economy that got us into this mess, but like I said previously in responses, human nature will not change where money and the economy are concerned, because everything is based on the value of money, hence enter your bankers.

I will never believe students paying to study here (especially science and engineering) is a bad thing. And yes, I've read the manifesto for the Dark Enlightenment, so beloved of Bannon, Brietbart and the alt-right: closed borders, nationality based on race and authoritarian order. Give me travel and the exchange of cultures any day.

Like I said before, no lessons will be learned, because the greed of people who are in need of bog roll is deemed more important these days. Your own first thoughts are economy, I never knocked the movement of cultures either, that's just your own politcal agendas in full swing. So do us a favour fook off Donga <ok>

Actually I find your post insulting. At no point did I knock students for travelling and studying here, at no point did I touch the conversation from a political discussion, I blamed ALL. Then you bring up the alt-right which was never mentioned by me in any context whatsoever. If people continue this line then they will lose the freedom to post here.

Im sure most of us are at the point of breaking in terms of boredom and finding thing to fill the time during this lockdown.

Just sitting here thinking i have to find something productive to do tomorrow, another day of smoking weed and staring at thexbox with a novel trip to the shops is draining my soul of all joy.

Got a few things i can get in with but none are that fun, some painting, bit of woodwork and some other things about the house.

    Just so bored ffs.

Whats your lots plans for the coming days to pass the time? Maybe i can steal some inspiration.

Tomorrow meeting up with my brother and cousin to walk our dogs. Friday I’m at my mates daughters 18th. Saturday I’ll be recovering with the odd stroll out to clear my head. Sunday I’m going to take the jet ski out if it’s a nice day.
