Yeah but if you set up a camera, you could film yourself going all Rambo on the tree, with the chainsaw, show us what a real man you are. Then we could all take bets on which way the tree will fall, obviously I will abstain as I'm not a betting man, but it will be enjoyable just for the amusement, go on, you know you want to flex those bulging muscles to us :)

The letters are sent out by your local surgery. So the inefficiency or decision lies with them. If you’ve not had a letter and think you should have, then call the surgery and ask.

I don’t know that you’ve got that many skills if you keep digging with a shovel instead of a spade... and keep breaking the shovels...

If you’re getting lots of concrete and large stones loosen the ground up with a pick axe/Grubbing Mattock first before digging out with a spade or shovelling the loose ground out with a shovel.

the story behind some of these disputes is farcical.

The imperial guy used to work at oxford, he left after accusing a woman scientist of sleeping her way to the top. She took him to court and won the case.

She is now leading the research at oxford and the two teams wont speak to each other, instead using other scientists as proxies to discredit each others research.

It's all very sad an unnecessary at a time when when decision makers in this country require clarity. Better off looking abroad and listening to the WHO for guidance tbh.

It’s definitely worth investing in one if you’re doing a big digging job, particularly if you’re dealing with a lot of concrete and rocks. Could have saved yourself some money on broken shovels :emoticon-0136-giggl

Yeah, people have to be trusted to make responsible decisions. Most can and will. Unfortunately, some can't and won't.

As far as the parks go, if people are using them for exercise and keeping 6 feet apart, I don't really see the problem. The parks in Haringey now have markers at the entrances and on the paths showing you what 6 feet apart looks like. I suppose next weekend will be a big test, but then on the other hand every day is like Sunday now anyway, so maybe not. There are police patrolling the parks, but there just aren't enough of them.

As for visiting relatives or friends, the instructions are clear. Don't do it.

A friend of mine works for a homeless charity in the West End. There are still plenty of rough sleepers in London, despite the government instructing councils to find them all beds. Most of those people have quite severe MH or addiction problems. God knows what happens to them if they get sick; actually, we do know what happens to them. They die.

    I agree.

In someways I wished it was pissing down, at least then we could be smug about the weather. But this is going to be the one Easter weekend where the weather sticks two fingers up at us all, while the sunshine blazes down laughing!
