We've got 3 points at WBA and the Reebok, places we have struggled at before, certainly last season or the last couple of seasons (Reebok) and a point at the Britannia where our last 2 games before this we have only won 2-1. If we pick up 3 points at Craven Cottage this season, I think those 4 away games have been our toughest (along with Liverpool and Everton away) fixtures, then we'll be doing better than last year.
Disappointing result!!! Giggs could and should have scored the winner. Brought back the memories of the FA final which he missed an open goal and which United lost against Arsenal. It does show how referees influnece matches in a big way. How any ref could not see that the tackle aginst hernandez was a foul, a pen and a sending off is beyond me. The referees here in England are bottlers. They shy away from big decisions. It would have meant 1-0 very early, ten men and an easy victory. However, it is still a point which may prove valuable in the end.
The giggs 'miss' looked close intially. On the replay though he was placed well wide of the goal and the keeper had the near post covered. It would have taken a big slice of brilliance and/or luck for it to go in from that angle even if he hit it on target.
Bigger ego.. Come sit next to me next Stoke home game you **** wit Break Begovic's leg? And we'll chat about it then.
Looked like he misjudged the flight of the ball to be honest - it was quite a looping cross and he seemed to get under it and try to shift his body position at the last minute. Had he hit it cleanly it would have been a net buster, but even if you are in the right position it is always difficult to hit those ones cleanly.
agree to disagree then IMO he was well to the left of goal with the keeper in his way. It was a bit like Crouch's miss a few minutes earlier. Live it looked like he missed a sitter but n replay you see he's no where near in front of goal and had little chance of scoring barring a miracle. Giggs's was the same.
