I'm certainly not annoyed at a point. I've always said that i would gladly take a point from each of these two away games this week. If you take 4 points from each of the big sides - and i class burnley as a big side, as they have some very good players - then you're going to finish the season very high up the table.

Draw cardiff and beat watford, and there'll be a very good chance that we'd be going into the international sitting top of the table. And we'd have played all the big sides except for west ham, boro, reading and brighton.

Brighton don't qualify to be in the list of "big clubs"

OMG. It's the last weekend in September and we are top of the league. The only knockers we should be getting on here, are when The Dandy Highwayman makes a post.

*shakes head at anyone bemoaning at not winning at Burnley*

My brain knows this was a good point saved, but my heart is disappointed. This club has come on a long way when we are disappointed to be top of League but not win every match. We know in our heart of hearts that we won't win every match, especially as other teams start closing us down as they treat us with more respect. On the FLS, both teams were shown to have had good chances and usually we would have won by being the more clinical side. Middlesborough, another promotion contender, also lost points against Ipswich. Onwards to Cardiff.

Not quite there yet we have mid week fixtures to see out in September, best to pretend to not care about the league until after xmas, I mean after all we as Saints fans have been saying that for years, or for some reason is it differant this season

Just seen the higlights. A draw was probably about fair, although I can't help but think we could have taken the points with the chances we had after Burnley had missed theirs. Lambert heading into the ground and coming off the bar is just plain unlucky and Lallana probably should have scored at least 1. No matter, it's a good point against a good team at a tough ground and maybe we'll put those sorts of chances away in the future.

Charlie Austin is still irritating though.

Was at Burnley yesterday. Anyone else feel a time shift back to the 'olden days' with really old wooden seats. The faces of the young fans was a picture. They couldn't believe seats could be wooden. How would they have reacted to the old terracing? Wasn't so amused by someone behind me asking who the 'darkie' was playing for Saints. Have we moved on at all from the 70's? Thought the result was disappointing, but fair. Fonte and Lallana both seem to have off days but thought Jos was sound. First time I've seen him. All the other results seemed to go our way.

I was there yesterday too. Turf Moor's a great mix of old and new, and the away part was a nice old fashioned stand (despite the annoying pillar blocking my view of the far goal). I'm only 18 so I'd never seen the wooden seats but it made me think how much better it must have been a few decades ago.

I had a pillar blocking my view at The Dell. All the players would run until they reached the pillar but never appear the other side, then the fans would start booing or cheering...everything exciting seemed to happen behind that pillar.

You have to give it to Eddie Howe and his lads.....He must have given them a game plan about stifling Saints play and hoping to nick a goal. Which is what happened. Stifling Saints though is a very tiring experience. As soon as they flagged we came into our own and as others have said, we should have nicked the game ourselves.
