The bookies apparently offer pre-season PL odds on the Pooool that always
brings the Mousers in en-masse (they obviously know something we don't
about the likelihood of having to pay out on that one ... ) .
Liverpool being denied their title win because the season can't be finished would be a form of natural justice for those clubs who suffered by being denied entry into European competition due to Heysel.

I don't think you can necessarily expect sympathy from clubs who suffered at the time - including my club. I went to the 1985 Cup final as a kid; I don't remember any European football in the next season.
1. ANY club through the 70s or 80s could have ended up in Liverpool's position ... both European and British club fans were out of control.
2. UEFA banned Liverpool (and all English clubs) because their fans didn't die...if the Liverpool fans had died it would have been Italian clubs banned.
3. Heysel was a moronic choice for for the final...it was known to be a decrepit stadium in serious disrepair and the chances are that the serious violence would not had led to the deaths if a safer stadium had been used.
None of this is to say that those who were involved in football violence are absolved of their individual responsibility but these scum were infesting ALL clubs.
We were banned from Europe between 1974 and 1981 because of violent tossers...who pushed the great Bill Nicholson into resigning due to them shaming our club.
