The virus won't kill everyone, that's not the point. The problem is that Governments here, in Italy, Spain, the US, etc...have underfunded our healthcare systems in the name of PROFIT, so if the whole population got it over the course of a couple of weeks the whole system will collapse and ****loads will die at once. This lockdown is just to spread out the serious cases over time, so as to hide their ****up.

Doubt there is anything sinister at play here, seeing as the *****s in charge (Trump, Boris, etc...) said it was bullshit then realised it might make them look bad and went overboard.

It doesn't just affect old people, it also makes young people seriously ill but thanks to ventilators/medical attention they have a much higher survival rate.

You don't get what going full eddie is.

I'm all for some conspiracy stuff, as we're definitely not kept in the loop. This Covid thing has been taken a bit overboard, but as mentioned previously I still think it's worth sorting.

You have to be a *****spasticpoof of epic proportions to take it to flat earth/holocaust denial levels though.

I take it back. You do know what going full eddie means.

So you believe the Germans used shower rooms with no chimneys, glass windows and wooden doors as gas Chambers?

Without killing themselves in the process, 50 feet away from the death camp football pitches and theatre.

Anyone who believes the holocaust is a complete victim. It's without doubt the most absurd widely held belief in our culture, even more absurd than the tinfoil mechano ship getting to the moon and back on the first attempt.

Have you ever actually looked into it? You know, done any real research about it? I'm sure those youtube videos are convincing but it seems to me like you don't really know what you're talking about.

And on that note, I'm out <cheers>

I may be bored but arguing about the holocaust with someone I strongly expect to be trolling does not seem like a very good use of my free time.

Weird how the same people that think the NHS is not able to adequately care for the people we have already and is woefully underfunded are the same people that think more people should move here by the millions and be given free healthcare.

Weird how the people that pay ****all in tax think they have the right to decide what other taxpayers' money is spend on.

We are on the verge of a dick measuring contest on how much tax we have contributed.

Serfs gonna serf <doh>

I've watched at least 30 hours of documentaries on it from multiple sources, none of them on YouTube as they are instantly censored.

You are the one who has spent no time on it. You likely don't even know about the official number revisions, all you will know is the bullshit you heard briefly in history class or the 6 million mongs on TV who have no regard for the latest official version figures.

We've had this chat before. Do I think it's 6m? No idea, it's impossible to know.

Do I think the Germans rounded up, killed and imprisoned millions of jews (and other people they didn't like)? Yep, definitely.

Gas chambers are not responsible for the 6m deaths alone.

Your arguments are as weak as piss.

The Govt has introduce near martial law, stopped folk from working, stopped folk from going to the pub, stopped folk from going for a meal and stopped folk from visiting their friends and relatives all because less than 1% of folk who catch the new virus will die.

What do they expect folk to do when it's a nice day? There's folk on social media moaning about "the streets are full - when will people learn!" as ordinary folk go for a walk instead of being cooped up indoors 24/7 - which is all in line with the Govt advice.

The charge is that these rules needed introduced to stop the health services from becoming overwhelmed.

We know from Italy that the median age of the dead is 78 and that over 90% of them had an underlying health problem, the solution is simple, those at risk should stay indoors.

It's astonishing that so many Brits are vengefully wanting the Govt to introduce stricter rules and fines to curb their fellow citizens without seeing the ramifications. Any one who has had any dealing with the police know that 99% of them are absolute weapons. Last thing they need is more ****ty laws to enforce and stop them from doing what they should be doing, catching criminal committing murders, stealing from private properties or raping kids.

The scientist at Imperial College whose advice forced the Govt to change tact produced a report that up to 500,000 British could die from Covid if the Govt didn't enforce social distancing. He then said it would be 20,000, now he's saying 5,000 will die.

This same guy produced a report in the 90s saying the the human form of BSE (mad cow disease) could kill 300,000. Here we are nearly 30 years later and only circa 300 have died.

At what cost do we protect the vulnerable in society and how far should the State go to keep its citizens "safe".

I have regular contact, through my work, with the British Transport Police, and can confirm that they are indeed a bunch of planks
