TBH I vote for local MP because he does a good job here in Berkshire. I don't think about Yemen... I think about my family.
The World is funny place... Trump for example gets vilified because he says a few things about women and a wall.. yet Obama is a hero when he built more wall than Trump and dropped more bombs than than just about any President? By the way I think Trump is an idiot but cant understand how he gets so much crap from people who don't understand American politics or think they can because they went to Disneyland last year.
AS for the tories and selling of arms... why do you not mention Blair? He was the worst offender.

Blair was just as bad, I sided with Robin Cook.

Virtually every Tory in opposition, supported Blair on Iraq though didn't they.

Okay let me tell you something which is factual and serious.
The tories at the time voted on the information that Blair gave them. Which by the way, was false.
You cannot blame MP's (from whatever party)
Saddam did not and never had WMDs which was proven by the international inspectors. That is fact and well documented.
Robin Cook was correct and he saw through the lies. Even me, who was always sceptical of Blair, trusted him with the information he gave us.
Blair is responsible for many deaths and he still gets a platform.

I knew it was false, so did a lot of people.

It's a long time ago, yet the vast majority in this country, you included, still don't know when they're being lied to, especially by this latest excuse of a govt.

You mock Corbyn, yet he knew what Blair was up to.

Calling terrorists 'brothers' and 'friends'. go away you are talking rubbish.

Tabloid fake news nonsense, which you misguidedly believe to be true, that's your right though.

Queen and various other politicos shake hands with Martin McGuinness, a former IRA assassin. I saw it happen on TV, it could have been faked I suppose. Unlikely though.

Is debating issues that Ellers disagrees with, not allowed on here?

Nope he’s proven how limited he is, you say anything he can’t answer, which really isn’t difficult, on ignore you go. Neither of us were rude, unlike him, just wouldn’t back down. You’ll also notice none of the others who are more to his political leanings have entered the conversation. I suspect they must be embarrassed for him by his posts today, as generally they are a good bunch and you can find common ground. Quite sad really I know posters don’t post on here anymore because of him, let’s just hope someone reigns him in a bit.

I must agree with this.... one of his rants about staying at home was spot on.

My point about Piers Morgan is that he's telling people like me, who have to go to work to get money, to stay home.
He's a millionaire!!

If I were a millionaire I'd stay home.

If you can get to and from work on your own and work whilst observing the social distancing advice, as I can, then you should continue until the government start paying you.

You’re in quite a unique situation then so don’t see much harm in it. Even less so if you don’t have to drive especially out in leafy Oxfordshire.

It’s not right that private building sites are still being worked on in London though which is what he’s referring to in the main. Both when they’re travelling in and when on site. Don’t think his point is aimed at the workers who are mostly too skint to stay home for long in all likelihood. It comes across as a cop out from employers and the government to not force these sites to shut and pay the staff a wage to keep them going.

Also it’s easy for me to say that when I can work from home and, touch wood, should come out of this ok. I really do sympathise for what a stressful situation this must be for people in different ways.
