I think when (not if) they say it's extended for another 3 weeks ppl will fear if it can be extended once where will it end. Then it's all about the mortgage, rent, gas bill, food bill, savings gone, overdraft. If they don't offer some hope of an end in sight I worry for what it will drive ppl towards.
Well, er, tittle-tattle, but I have bad news. Three weeks before social distancing, my daughter who is a nurse said it would be three weeks before social-distancing, then another week before only essential workers would be allowed to go to work (though that hasn't really happened - can't see what's essential about on-board ticket inspectors on TransPennine, but that's just my gripe for now) . Now she's saying it's next weekend we go full Wuhan. I don't know how that is enforced outside an authoritarian society, but she hasn't been wrong yet.

I think someone in America needs to tell Trump to shut the fook up, because if he thinks quarantining NY is going to make his problems go away, then he is in cloud cuckoo land. I gave an example earlier today on this thread, where someone with the virus in the UK, was walking around for three weeks before they keeled over.
