If SD is allowed to stay open then it hardly sets an example does it? Reckon that will be a cue for people to take the piss.

With Primark and the like closing I bet he cleans up while he’s allowed to operate. They should be banned from selling anything but exercise equipment excluding all clothing if they’re allowed to operate at all. Horrific for the staff who will be largely zero hours I expect.

Yep it's his treatment of the staff who are mostly on zero hour contracts I worry about. I bet he's already threatened them to come in or lose income.

Going by the point @Libby raised anyone watching the news?

Government guidelines issued last night says children under 18 can be moved between parents.

On GMTV they ask Gove if that is for separated/divorced parents? He says no it doesn't apply to them. WTF!

Then 5 mins later he's on BBC Breakfast saying yes it is for separated/divorced parents to do just that <doh>

Don’t zero hours get the 80% top up?

No, I don’t think so, as they’re not being furloughed as such, as there’s no requirement to give them any hours.

What would they pay the 80% of?

The gig economy at its finest.

As I said last night it's not even up for debate as far as I'm concerned. She's in agreement too.

Aye if they are PAYE and have a February paycheck.

But my problem with this has always been that it's upto owners like Mike Ashley to do it. What if he can't be arsed, who will enforce it? What if it requires x amount of paperwork or systems being put in place?

I think many zero hour employees will be having to chase their employers to get paid. Trust me.

No Tobes it's already been agreed they will. It will go off the monthly pay for February.

Must be a way to sort this out?

e.g

If you’ve been paid into your account for the last 2 years...you can average the weekly wage? All gone into your bank so everything is legit and can be traced?

Im struggling to see why the restrictions at a time like this...every type of earner is in the **** and will need help.
