I don't even believe you have it tbh.

I don't know if I do. I don't want to put any burden on our NHS by trying to get tested. I certainly have the symptoms. My youngest had them, last week.

Currently, I am running a temperature. My eyes are itchy and slightly aflame. I have aches and pains, mainly behind my eyes and across my shoulders. I have a slight sore throat. I wouldn't say that I am uncomfortable, and I would rate my symptoms as being mild.

I may simply have nothing more than a cold.

However, my symptoms come four-square within the recommendation to self-isolate for two weeks.

you realise the flu killed 50 million on its debut .

the difference is we have a vaccine for that.

wake up

I have never been vaccinated for the flu, and yet here I am.

I actually contracted a flu virus that is ten times worse than this.

TBF we have like 100 years of flu herd immunity (plus natural mutation of the flu into less bad strains)

Mate, I have said, time and time again, that I do not doubt that this virus is a killer. But it's no worse than any other strain of flu in that regard.

The problem has been caused by everyone getting it at once, because it's a new strain.

You've seen how the hysteria has affected people, and the emptying of supermarket shelves, to the extent that the staff are enforcing and policing a rationing of products. Imagine how many unnecessary visits to doctors and hospitals there have been.

I say again, it isn't this virus that is the killer, but the stupidity of the masses, aided by the incompetence of our Government.

See I actually agree with a bit of that despite you contradicting your self in your first and final sentences.

I'm just pointing out the bleak picture is quite clearly not false. You keep mentioning the flu, how many do you think it'd kill if we didn't vaccinate against it?

Think this has already killed more than Swine flu here so I don't think we can say that this isn't any worse than others yet.

Deaths from actual cold related, Its anywhere between 10k and 35k most years I think, and its mostly the old. (caveat, having a heart attack while clearing your driveway of snow would probably put you in these stats.
My point was twofold.

Firstly, he didn’t have a ****ing clue what it was.

Secondly, that the increase in winter deaths in 17/18 included a virtual doubling of circulatory and dementia deaths in that particular year. In addition to an expected increase in pneumonia deaths in what was a colder winter.

So his initial point about 50k dying from the cold, is horseshit basically.

@brb banned him from the other one for being a colossal twat.

So he created this attention seeking nonsense, as he’s an attention seeking fat old git, with a cock like a button mushroom.

Something like that anyway.

I like him, but I don't believe him

...how many do you think it'd kill if we didn't vaccinate against it?

I don't know, mate.

What I do know is that Mankind got on just fine without vaccines for hundreds of thousands of years.

so basically you cant be arsed with work , so you're pretending you have it

FFS stop being a twat!

50,100 more people died. That's an undisputable fact.

I say "died of the cold" because the deaths coincided with one of the coldest Winters on record.

The actual deaths will have been due to underlying health issues and old age.

Just like this flu strain.

You don't like the fact that I have put forward an argument that has pored scorn on your fear mongering.

You content yourself with scaring people and remaining a victim of all the hype, along with all the other sheep. Leave me to put things in their proper perspective, like a free-thinking intelligent man.

Yeah herd immunity worked fantastically well for the Black Death.

When those who were lucky enough to survive it, did indeed gain immunity.

That earned them the privilege of watching their kids and grandkids, who didn’t have immunity, die from the ****er, when it came back a generation later.

You’re an absolute ****wit at times HIAG.
