My missus said yesterday that she couldn’t understand why so many people were ignoring the health experts’ advice. I’ve long held a belief that the majority of people in this country don’t watch the news or digest any factual information beyond the football results. They live and die in blissful ignorance.

 

I don’t mean to be political about it but we’ve been told for years now to disregard experts which can’t help.

Thinking about it, I now strongly suspect that I caught this off my youngest.

Last week, he was continually complaining of itchy eyes, and during the night he was burning up, to the extent that I kept checking in on him to remove the duvet.

These symptoms lasted around three days, then completely disappeared.

 

Heavy soy users are high risk

 

Her father has it, but mother came back negative on test, doctors say its extremely unlikely she didnt get it, and reckon she had it and it is already past without symptoms. If that is so, then she hasn't been reinfected, and I am hoping that means once you get at strain, you're immune to that strain thereafter.

Her dad has a slight cough and cold symptoms, nothing else.

From what I read, if you have it and have not had a bad downturn within a week to nine days, very high chance you'll be OK

 

If you ask me, part of the calamity is because of how split politics has become.
Even as this unfolds, they are all thinking of ass covering or blaming, depending on which side you are on. Mind you, it's nothing like the US though, with the media over there constantly making things worse, and undermining the efforts.

As much as UK media is a mess, and it is, the US media during this outbreak, wow!

 

Funnily enough, that’s something I have always done.

It’s really weird, but I have all the symptoms (in mild form), except for the fever.

The worst of it is the pains in the neck and shoulders.

Around 18 years ago, I was laid out for three days with something very nasty. And I’m talking REALLY nasty! Before the fever broke, I couldn’t move. Every muscle and sinew in my body ached. I didn’t eat or drink for three days. When the fever broke, I had the most spectacular hallucination, that I still remember, to this day!

Thing is, I rarely go to the doctor, never see the need. If I’m going to die, I’ll die. That’s always been my attitude. I’m not afraid of dying. It’s going to happen to all of us, some day, and to everyone we know and care for. So, I never got to know what it was that I contracted. I just suffered in silence, and let my body sort itself out.

The experience made me realise why so many old and infirm people die of the flu.

I’m wondering if my having contracted and survived that virus has enabled me to better fight this Covid-19?

I wonder if I’ve passed on the immunity to my boys?

I tell you what, I couldn't handle the pressure that is on leaders atm. Because no matter what they do, there is going to be one epic ****show when this passes. The damage is already done, and its a matter now of how much more damage can be done.

I am blocking everything from the Guardian to the Telegraph in my browser for the next 2 years
