I am no fan of David Burns, but the way Pearson spoke to him was well out of order. The man is arrogant, ignorant and detached from the supporters. Yes, before you all jump down my throat, I know he is a football manager and not a media star, but if he can't give a civil interview, either don't do it or pass it to someone with manners. He is a moody, rude and downright unpleasant person to interview, who needs to realize that the supporters expect a little more than a rant from our egomaniac leader. He has no media skills. Crap? Yeh good media stuff Perason.
I was surprised he used the word "crap" on the radio.. overall though he's a straight talking guy...but I'm glad he's not happy, it shows he's determined to keep us moving forward..
I keep hearing this on the Humberside phone in, i missed the interview so can only go with what i've heard. He is a football manager first and foremost and after the media frenzy surrounding Brown it's nice to have someone less media happy, but at the same time he has to appear less rude and cold in his interviews and try and make the effort talking to the press/fans. If the press were asking stupid questions then i can see NP's point of view, but having not heard the interview i'm going by what others who heard it are saying.
Who cares, we need a good manager not a performing seal, if you want managers who talk a lot of bollocks and love themselves go support another team
Personally I'm disgusted that he still has a flat-top when it's clearly so out of fashion. How dare he represent us with that redundant hairstyle? I don't care if we are in the play-off zone, some things are more important than success and I'm sure we all agree that a modern hairstyle is paramount for any manager worth his salt!!!!
Maybe it's just me, but I couldn't care less what he says either pre or post match. Seems to be too much onus on managers to provide soundbites to feed the media. Find it all a load of bollox really and it was the single thing I hated most about the Premier League. I certainly don't know why folks get their y-fronts in such a twist about it anyway. If we win more than we lose and he told me to **** off if I said good morning to him, not bothered, doesn't affect my life in any way.
He's no more arrogant than big gob burns! In fact I'm glad he doesn't give Burnsey an easy time as it will just go to make his ego even bigger. Well done Nige U DA Man'
Burns IS an imbecile, Pearson is consistently rude and curt when being interviewed. There is no need for it. People are interested in his views yes, but there is a better way to get them over I.M.P
He's pissed off we didn't win the game. I am too. He's reflecting the way I'm feeling, so I'm pretty happy with him. What's the alternative? And before people cite Brown - he was a right moody sod when a result didn't go his way. There was one interview I remember where he batted every question right back at Burnsy. We're undefeated in 4 - and have 10 points from those games... It may be for one night only, but we are currently in the play off spots. That's all I care about right now.
OK Boothferry I take your point, guess it's down to personal preference, I don't care what he says after the match myself so long as it's honest opinion
Oh dear. We are doing quite well at the moment. Thats all I'm bothered about, but moaners will moan of course.
Percies alright but we are on the up at the minute so it gets a bit tiresome reading people nitpicking about interviews after the match
This ^ he should get himself a mullet like mine ! ! Seriously though,i couldn't give a shat, how our manager comes over in the media. That's not his job.
Good one. As usual. Don't keep opening the thread then? It's not really nitpicking, I just find it hard to get behind NP because he's a twat, I honestly think even if we were top of the league I'd still want him gone.
