What a great team we had back then and I count myself as extremely lucky to have been able to witness a Hull City side grind down a gobby arrogant opponent (backed by 73,000 regular lifelong fans) in the sun at the most famous football stadium the world and achieve our goal.
I tret myself to an expensive seat that day and ended up near the pigs . How we celebrated that Diame masterpiece as we faced the crestfallen glum midlanders in the next section.
They knew the game was up and their luck had at last run out.
I took one of their silly balloons and popped in under my foot for good measure, Game over you ****s and you know it in your ****ty Sondico kit.
Paid £101 to go back on the Virgin special train (more than it cost to get to Lokeren and Trencin) but it was worth every ****ing penny and then some.
