Yeah, I noticed the old road sweeper out doing his rounds in Muswell Hill this morning. If all this leads to greater respect and appreciation for these people doing those sort necessary jobs - binmen too of course, bus drivers - then that’s a silver lining too.
have to say my binmen are lovely and are so helpful .I rarely send e-mails about good service but both my binmen and my local council drop in centre have received them from me .

Meanwhile in ‘Merica.....

For actual ****s sake <laugh>

You'll be right dude, don't sweat it too much.

Ignore all the tin hat social media **** and make your own decisions. As it stands, shops are open and will remain so.

I must admit, I prefer fresh produce and it is easier to go along and select it yourself. I don't really generally buy frozen and canned stuff. I think the last thing I bought out of a freezer was ice cream!

ok peeps, am back after a week or so off, need to tell you, as serious as this Covid 19 is for the older generation, if you or your loved ones are under 70 and do not have any underlying health conditions, you will be fine.
I wasn't tested but 111 was pretty sure I had Corona virus, as did my youngest daughter.
My throat and sinuses were sore, and my chest felt like it was on fire and I had quite a painful dry cough....
Serious though, I have had worse colds. If it was Covid 19 I had, and based on everything, I am almost certain it was, then unless you are old as **** and/or have a respiratory condition, you will be fine.
Self isolate, dont go near the elderly or the ill and you will be fine.

Been isolating for 8 days now, my whole family has, as my 3 year old had it too, and honestly it wasn't all that bad, pain wise. I know it differs for different people, but like I said, as long as you are under 70 and relatively healthy, you will likely be fine.

Right another question....these supermarket online deliveries, are people having to plan them two weeks in advance?

I don't want to find in a week or two a food shop is needed, only to find you've got to wait an additional two weeks for it to be delivered!
none of the major supermarkets my have any slots available in next 3 weeks <yikes>
and i know full well the moment the next week becomes available it will be fully booked in 20 mins max that is if you can even access their sites .

That ****ing geezer’s unreal <laugh>

And he’s President <yikes>

I think the American's are going to have a bigger problem with this virus than Europe. I've always felt they are so arrogant and Trump is top of the pile, and the coming months will tell. I thought the Brits were a bit thick when it came to understanding advice, yet I think the Americans are going to take that to whole new level, for their sakes I hope I'm wrong.

We down to the last 3 bog rolls and I am probably going to have to get up at the crack of dawn to get some tomorrow.

Is there nothing in place to push you up the queue?

There should be, most people can get to the shop themselves and ****ing well should do.

best of luck and seriously you will probably need it considering as a "vulnerable" person i was in Sainsburys when they opened at 7 yesterday morning but still no no rice ,pasta , kitchen rolls , bog rolls etc .
Right now i'd probably pay some serious money just for long grain rice or Rigatoni pasta <laugh>

**** our grandkids - let’s all have bentleys :emoticon-0178-rock:

Already lots of young people feel let down by previous generations... maybe rather than keep being pissed off we should just keep kicking the can down the road....

UK debt currently grows at..

£5,170 per second

Given almost every country is in this position with debt, you kinda wonder who exactly all those trillions are owed to, US gov debt alone is what, nearly 20 trillion I think. <yikes>

The ridiculous element of that, is that you’ve not been tested, so you’ve no idea if you had it or not. You might have just had a seasonal cold / flu virus and not COVID-19.

I’ve no idea why they’ve decided to not test people outside of hospital. As if you have had it, and it was confirmed, then you could just crack on now, but given you haven’t had it confirmed, you can’t. It’s bonkers.
