How long do you think the economy can be put on hold for, they are saying up to 3 months at the moment, but at what point would be a tipping point, bascially when will that pound in your pocket be worth fook all or can't that happen.

In theory it shouldn't happen as there isn't an increase of money in the economy. If this money was spent and everyone was still making money then inflation would be through the roof.

All those worker in communications (post, phone and electrical) and the power sectors will hopefully be recognised for the roles they play in society to.

Gutted for those losing their wages or jobs at the moment. Thsnk **** I ain't stressing about that too.

Like millions of others that we discussed, I try not to think of the risk I take going to work each day with kids that try to spit, bite and scratch etc but today, for the first time it has all got a bit much.
I am worried about bring the **** into the house and making the teenbeast and Mrs RCL ill.
I am worried about my uni daughter who has just had her work place closed, is struggling to finish her course cos the uni is shut (but thankfully she found some shop which hadn't been striped bare).

I am worried for the kids I work with who are scared ****less watching adults around them lose their ****...I am so glad we are open cos I think they would regress massively.

And as weird ss it msy sound I am worried for people I do not know like those in jobs like my uni kid snd the self employed.

They can not be let go of. If social history teaches us anything it is thst it is the duty of all to stand up for those suffering (even if it is not us) or we will all end up suffering.

Sorry to sound all cliched but I have no idea how else to get this ****e outta my head in s near intelligible way.

Anyhow off for a walk to stop thinking about the bleakness of existence!

Right another question....these supermarket online deliveries, are people having to plan them two weeks in advance?

I don't want to find in a week or two a food shop is needed, only to find you've got to wait an additional two weeks for it to be delivered!

They’ve thought of that. The employee has to have been on the payroll as of 28th Feb.

I’m unclear who it applies to though. As it seems to be for those not working but not laid off. We’ve been carrying workers who are doing next to nothing but haven’t been sent home. They’ve also backdated it to March 1st, but again it’s not yet clear who’ll be able to claim this.

The devil, as always, is in the detail

I’ve got the answer to the tax conundrum btw.

    Put up ****ing taxes. Simple.

When this ****’s over, let’s all pay a bit more into society, to help make the UK a better place for all of us to live in.

We’d committed to paying March payroll in full anyway and so had costed that into our survival plan, so if we get the wages subsidy, we’ll be fine mate. <ok>

Ken Clarke was only saying the other day, he couldn't understand why they hadn't put up petrol in the budget. He said he would have done!
