He deserves a statue outside the ground. Not many players in this day would have given over 10 years to a club, especially at his peak he would have had offers to move on.

That is really apt. Over 400 games and not far short of 100 goals. A total legend. People talk of great City players over the years and he fits into the highest bracket.
I’d really hoped to have seen him walk onto the pitch when the season resumes to accept our accolade for him but sadly that’s not going to happen.
