Alonso seems to have a sixth sense for speed around the bumpy Singapore circuit and this has shown true in practice again today but his car is'nt as strong as last year I think Vettel will win and then seal his championship at the next race.

About Alonso's speed at Singapore-- I think it's partly due to his confidence at this circuit, and also the fact that he's good at street circuits.

Does anyone know why McLaren were struggling yesterday?

Well Button did not have much running time and Hamilton struggled with rear graining, although I think their pace is still meant to be competitive. I think I read somewhere on JAF1 about how difficult tyre managment will be here. I'll try and find it.....

James Allen said:
In Singapore the great challenge is to look after the rear tyres, which get damaged by the constant stopping and accelerating at the circuit’s 23 corners. Meanwhile the fastest corner on the circuit is taken at only 170km/h so it is difficult for driver to get energy into the front tyres and get them ‘switched on’. Add in the factor of the red hot brakes cooking the tyres from the inside and tyre management becomes a huge challenge.

I think this could play very well into Alonso's hands during the race. Sauber could also have a strong race here as well.

Hamilton's stint on prime tyres looked like a high fuel run. He wasn't using DRS and fastest lap is 1.54.573

Yesterday his high fuel laptime on options were 1.53's. If the difference between prime and option is about 1 second, it looks like Hamilton's car was just as heavy today than it was on the long option runs yesterday.

In that case, are McLaren going to qualifying on prime tyres? Or perhaps they are going to pit very early in the race? It would make sense if they are struggling with rear graining.

Webber goes fastest in FP3, 2 tenths faster than Vettel, but Vettel did have a little bit of traffic apparently. And where the heck are these predicted thunder storms? Maybe they're here because I just had a massive one right over my house.

Jesus!!!! Give Kamui a break, anybody could of made that mistake and the way Hamilton is wrecking his car this weekend im surprised he hasnt yet

McLaren making another silly mistake, this time with Lewis and unable to refuel in time for the final run. I can see why they're getting Sam Michael on board just to iron out these mistakes. Red Bull again perfect as usual, its like they've been racing for decades, Mark can just hold everyone up and let Vettel take the win. Im hoping Jenson is able to get the jump on him though.

Perez keeps outqualifying Kobayashi, so perhaps Kobayashi was pushing too hard on his lap which led to his crash. Anyway Perez did a good job today.

The Hamilton-Massa incident in Q3 wasn't significant but Hamilton needs to be more patient - he was never going to get past Massa at that corner. I don't think anything will happen as a result, but someone needs to tell Hamilton that he's not Senna.

Very entertaining session there, Redbull's are running away into the horizon, we can see how the teams line up clearly now by looking at the grid order.

Kamui was a bit to aggressive on the curbs at the chicane - he is not to blame in my opinion just a misjudgment when trying to push the car beyond it's limits.

Massa seems to be very close to Alonso now, maybe this track suits his driving style better than others.

Mercedes seem more competitive this year compared to 2010, 7-8 positions are very respectable... they are hitting their potential but are finding it hard to catch the top three, (best of the rest) if you will, MSC in particular is closing the gap on Nico Rosberg and seems very feisty (maybe if it rains)...

Force India close off the top 10, I can see them progressing very well over the past years.

And Hamilton... well he just needs to know when and when not to try moves on track.. he is not Senna but more of a Montoya. He is handling millions of pounds of equipment and he just needs a whisper in is ear from someone more experienced.
