Re: Peter Whittingham. Very sad news!!

PS: I was out and about on Sunday, with Benji when I saw this lady fall over on the corner of the pavement and into the road. Luckily, there was no traffic and she was more fortunate than Whittingham as she fell on her legs and fractured her left one. Her husband and herself stopped their car to say thanks for helping her.

I cannot see how Euro 2021 can be fitted in, as there´s supposed to be a World Cup months later in Qatar. Just scrap internationals until the Autumn of 2022 to lessen the pressures on trying to complete this season, and starting next season weeks after the completion of this one whenever that may be.

World Cup is 2022, so plenty of time next summer.

Can't just push everything back!

If Euro 2021 goes ahead next summer, the 2021-22 season starts soon afterwards. Normally, qualification series takes 18 months. No way can you speed that up without a radical reform of the process. Besides which the players are not going to be happy playing a big tournament soon after one has finished.

Just remind again. It is a winter World Cup, isn´t it?

Yep, starts in November 2022.

Just read in the Mirror that 8 of the top ten PL sides want Manchester City's ban from Europe upheld. How very self-centred these clubs are. They should keep their noses out of something that is of no concern to them. Crédit to Sheffield United as they haven't done so at present.

Stumbled across this on Facebook. Mike Riley giving Man Utd a penalty, the 8th he had given them in 8 matches at OT.
Appalling performance from him. Filthy performance from Utd, and a match that VAR was made for.

Good grief, you couldn't come away from that without anything but the impression he was on the take. Truly awful one-sided performance from Riley and now gen manager at the PGMO. No wonder Man U won at OT so much.

Yes, I thought he was on the take, and the linesmen as well.
Van Nistelrooy should have had a straight red.
Gary Neville two yellows.
Rio Ferdinand straight red for professional foul.
Then the Rooney dive.

Yeah, if they had even just used the televised replay as an early form of VAR, ManU would have finished the match with 9 players on the field. Of course, this is the era where all the shouts of favouritism really got a momentum, and pretty much started the early calls for a third party ref.

It's really worked well. United benefit more than anyone else now. Not a single subjective decision overturned against them.
