FIT FOR FUNCTION 13/2 Dundalk 4:30
Capable of winning off 67. Two key factors for me. Firstly the trip and this today is his optimum. Secondly, he needs to be handy. Really want to see him spring the gates and be in the front rank.

Stop them coming over. Too risky

Maybe, and I must admit I thought Ireland had said there wouldn't be overseas runners over there. However, if you look at declarations for the first 2yo race of the season on Sunday there is a Richard Fahey 2yo entered.

No Fahey runner on the Irish racing site, or app. They are the best guide to our racing usually. Unless my eyes deceive me.

If restrictions are in place then of course they won't travel, but, if no restrictions are in place then there should be no problem going over, and likewise, the British coming over to try their luck here.

Sebs Star 5/1 - Dundalk 5.00

Lowly affair here for the John Oxx trained inmate but his last run boasts arguably the best piece of form on offer with Eglish, who finished 1.25 lenghts behind the selection on his last run having gone and won 3 times since, and also coming 2nd twice from 5 starts afterwards, improving 20+ lbs on that days handicap rating.

I know nothing off the young claimer riding apart from that the 10lbs is massive and in the context of the race, given that last run, Sebs Star won't get a much more winnable race than this against horses with not much scope and some who have earned a higher rating without winning.

Happy Fundalk day folks.

John Oxx has a 6% strike rate at Dundalk. Wouldnt try putting you off but for a trainer of his standing that is bloody awful.

John Oxx has a 6% strike rate everywhere stick. Man hasn't been able to string two winners together since Sea The Stars.
