There will also be indirect fatalities due to people missing treatment because it took a lower priority to the virus.

Add in those that are going to be hit financially, and I think it's impossible to add up the numbers suffering.

In brighter news, the talk of a 'cure' seems to be gaining weight. I guess it's a case of wait and see.

In the meantime, I think we all need to consider our actions, in case we pass on any bugs (not just the virus) to vulnerable people who may not be able to receive the treatment they need.

KCOM has announced it is to remove broadband data caps for those working from home during the Coronavirus emergency.

From 19 March, the Hull-based internet provider will not count data usage for home working activities such as video calls and the use of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) and online office software packages to help people who are working from home. KCOM will review this at the end of each month and notify customers of any changes in its approach.

Final wedding update - It's been cancelled.

Bride's sister lives in London and her boyfriend's dad has Coronavirus and is a really bad way, two of the bride's best friends just lost their jobs and they think it more and more likely that people will decide not to attend anyway, so they decided to pull the plug. Bride is understandably heartbroken.

A close friend of mine is in a similar situation, they had to postpone last year because of personal reasons, then this year the venue have said no because of the virus. I really feel for them because they're a lovely couple. And also because they were buying the suit I was wearing and it was the first time a suit had fitted me for ages.

BREAKING: A total 144 patients in the UK who tested possitive for #COVID19 have died.

Prime Minister says it's possible to be out of this crisis in 3 months. "We can turn the tide within the next 12 weeks, and I'm absolutely confident we can send coronavirus packing in this country, but only if we all take the steps outlined".

I was eagerly awaiting news on the education sector, given that schools are in chaos over who is coming in on Monday and who isn't.

But. You know. Nothing. Not even a "**** the teachers".

I disliked him before but now I'm hoping his next **** is a Lego Death Star.

I think the sensible approach is to do what the other fortunate ones do, and turn up for work and deal with situations as they develop. There are plenty that don't have that luxury and face a far more uncertain future.

I’m pretty sure the Prime Minister isn’t actually responsible for arranging which teachers are required at each school.

Bank of England cuts the interest rate from 0.25% to 0.1% Not sure who this is going to help, if you have a business that has had to close and now has no income a bit less interest on any loans you may have is neither here nor there.

I'm not sure whether 'confirmed case' numbers has any relevance without testing. My daughter and her boyfriend have been really ill, but not tested. Symptoms suggest it's Corona. They won't count towards the figures. She's an enthusiastic social worker and desperate to get back out there when colleagues are poorly as she'll be immune. However will she?

I’d kill, and probably will do in a few days if I don’t get any, for some white medium sliced Warburtons right now glp!
All they had in when I selfishly went out looking for food.
Only doing 4x12 hour shifts this run, tho it’ll be more if a few more split arses pretend they’re ill and need to self isolate

This is the question. I think there's some British research now, close to fruition, which will lead to the development of a test that will establish such.

I've been feeling ropey for past few days, some symptoms of C19 but it's probably a cold.

There's a big part of me that would like to get it (in a controlled way and not pass it on) and, providing I didn't croak, then get out and do some proper good.

Understaffed and under threat of contagion yet they all carry on.

Minutes ovation please for our NHS warriors.
