Mate, this just shows how close we are to collapse at any given moment.

10 days ago I was doing well but a bit apprehensive, tonight I've had cancellations left right and centre ,6 weeks worth of work gone. It's going to be a struggle.

I realise that I'm not alone though, any business that suddenly stops taking any money for six weeks is going to be in trouble. From the biggest to the smallest.

If the flow of money stops everyone should be worried.
I'm trying to stay as positive as I can. I don't want to talk about it but today has been a massive day of worry for me with regard to a health issue of our smallest family member. The whole world and its problems faded away for us today. Just been told that she is in recovery hence me checking back in on here.

I hope there is some practical help for you. For moral support or mere distraction keep posting here and we can help each other cope.

When little ones are not doing well, who cares about anything else. Hope things pickup and all are in a better way soon.

I feel for you, hope you come through relatively unscathed.

I've just been chatting to the next door neighbour, hes the landlord of the local pub and he is quite frankly ****ting himself with worry.

He hasn't had more than a few people in over the weekend and only going to get worse now. He hasn't a clue what to do.

It is a very sad time for many that will only get worse. Sadly millions will lose jobs, in this country alone. My only hope is that at the end, whenever that is, people will be welcomed back to the jobs they once left, but that depends on said companies still existing.

There are fans of another rival club not too far away that are acting in a very similar way too...

I can only laugh at the rampant self-interest and bogus concerns for everything from contracts, players' health and the integrity of the league if anything over than cancel and null and void is the answer. Well there is a ****ing precedent if you think back to 89 - both the FA and the Football League said their competitions had to be finished, forcing Liverpool to play 8 games on 23 days. At least this time it will be fair because every team will be in the same boat.

But remember- they said then that for the integrity of the competitions THEY HAD TO BE CONCLUDED. Now can we concentrate on the ill and vulnerable without this genuine crisis being turned into the new VARstick to try and undermine Liverpool's ****ing rampant win? To cancel the league now is like swimming three-quarters of the way across the channel then turning back to Dover.

There are several world precedents. Chile last year, major political protests stopped play, league leaders well ahead with 6 games to go; they were given the title, 2 teams promoted none relegated so expanding the top league for one season. Yugoslavia, war stopped play, league leaders given title while only 2 or 3 points ahead.

Best option for me is finish the league when football resumes. If I could dip my toe in the optimism lake for a minute - summer now freed up for league completions. Not finishing one season could lead to not finishing two ....

Insurance won't pay out for loss of earnings until we're forced to close the doors (same for pubs etc). Atm, it's only advisory; enough to stop people doing things but not enough for a claim :(

I’d check your policy and speak to your broker / insurer. We have both business interruption insurance and pandemic insurance and neither will cover COVID-19, irrespective of Govt mandating shut down or not. My broker told me every business on their books was in the same boat.
