Reported he's been in intensive care after he fell down some stairs

I've heard that he has died while in intensive care. Sad if true as he was a top player and wished we had signed him. Only 35 years old.
He was a fabulous player and I always got nervous when he was lined up against us. Sounds as if it may be true. Only 35. Tragic
He's not dead yet. Let's hope he makes a full recovery.

Great news, that he's not dead, not about his accident. He fell over in a pub in Barry, South Wales and hit his head while watching rugby. Apparently he's in a critical condition.
Rumours doing the round that Prince Philip has died ... again. Eventually, they'll get it right.
It would appear that Mr Whittingham has now sadly died.
God how sad & was a good player & who we should’ve signed RIP
So sad, his pregnant wife was with him when they turned off the ventilator. Really sad news. He was an excellent player, always thought he would have fitted in well with us

Very sad news. He was one of the most graceful and consistent players's in the Championship over the last decade. RIP Peter.
