It's only an issue because someone on Twitter decided it was an issue.

It was clearly a joke, a misguided one definitely but a joke all the same. I don't see it affecting the Coronavirus issue one way or the other to be honest, it's completely irrelevant.

As is whether Corbyn wants to go for a pint or something.

This whole **** storm is only a politician issue because people choose to make it one. Had labour got in, they would also be currently ****ing up the response to great deal of people one way or the other.

Stanley Johnson, father of the UK prime minister, has indicated he would ignore official advice to tackle the spread of coronavirus and still go to the pub.

His comments came a day after Boris Johnson urged everyone to “avoid pubs, clubs, theatres and other such social venues”.

The prime minister said the advice was particularly important for people over 70. But Stanley Johnson, 79, said: “Of course I’ll go to a pub if I need to go to a pub.”

He should know better as well! You can’t be the father of the PM and in public say you’re not going to follow his advice. Sheer stupidity.

It was wrong, but at the same time I don't want this becoming a political thread. It would help if you posted the latter response, in regards to the apology that was issued and her explanation, even if you don't agree with it.

If this thread starts becoming political debate then I will close it.

The point being, to underline it, is this would have happened if labour had got in.

It would have happened, with or without Brexit.

The Tories didn't cause it, and nether would the labour party have.

The action and approach of which ever party had been in government at the time would have been pulled apart and spun by the media, and then the public, whoever was in power.

Neither part would have been able to solve it in an instant.
