Why would you do that, it don't make sense. You have as much risk I would assume if not more, of picking up the virus by going into public places. You might not meet the affected person, but items they touch, cough or sneeze on will carry COVID-19. As soon as you touch the product upto 24 hours later on cardboard, then touch your eyes or mouth, you have passed the virus to yourself. Surely the whole idea of working from home, is so you stay home. The more time that passes as the virus spreads, the higher that risk will become, until it reaches its peak.

I'm just messing about mate, I have a lung condition and Mrs luv is a bad asthmatic so we are being careful. I've had the nod that there's a laptop on its way to me to work from home and we're well stocked but haven't been daft about it. Going to stick to the advice and be sensible about it. I'm gutted to be missing Nick Cave again and the wife had some plans but we will get most of the money back.

Fair enough mate. I suppose we all want people to remain safe and to realise where the risks lay, which you obviously do. I reckon come 3 or 4 months from now we will all be going stir crazy, through not being able to do the things we have become used to doing freely.

Just went into the Sainsburys next to me, it seems that panic buying doesn't extend to red lentil pasta, wholewheat anything or cost more than a quid items.

Tried to buy 3 500g bags of wholewheat pasta and the security guard stopped me as if I had just robbed the shop. 2 EACH.

I think they are trying to take some of the grief away from check out personnel. So are now using security staff to make sure people are following any inhouse rules.

Stanley Johnson, father of the UK prime minister, has indicated he would ignore official advice to tackle the spread of coronavirus and still go to the pub.

His comments came a day after Boris Johnson urged everyone to “avoid pubs, clubs, theatres and other such social venues”.

The prime minister said the advice was particularly important for people over 70. But Stanley Johnson, 79, said: “Of course I’ll go to a pub if I need to go to a pub.”

Don’t think the bloke can help himself. It’s no defence as I think he’s a useless **** until I see evidence to the contrary but I often blurt out an awkward joke when nervous or stressed. Then again I’m not the Prime Minister until I hear otherwise.

tbh it's the kinda dark joke that most people are blurting out. Then again as a man with common sense I wouldn't say it in a meeting, let alone if I was prime minister.
