I remember my old dear bless her, when she was alive always used to buy bog rolls in bulk when they were on offer at Makro. It was a standing joke, there’d be cupboards full of the bloody things. I bet she’s looking down now, saying ’Told you so’ - you can never have enough bog rolls!

Keep thinking of the positives.

It’s going to help clear the road of people who shouldn’t be anywhere near a vehicle.

Saves having to arse about!

I've been in Asda Kingswood, in the last hour. Bedwetters are stripping the shelves. Apparently, Aldi on Sutton Fields was rammed at 8:30. It will soon be time to get the army out to bang a few heads together.
Nipped to Waitrose.
Hardly any people.
Everything apart from loo roll, which Aldi had*

*Aldi had a 4 pack limit on loo roll. Very sensible. I only needed one pack...so I got one pack...because I’m not a knobhead.

Some £uckwit in Aldi went ballistic when he was told there was a limit on booze. Numbskull should have been ejected head first vis-a-vis Casino.

New advice, 'now is the time for everyone to stop all non-essential contact with others and to stop all unnecessary travel. We need people to start working from home'. Specifically, people in London need to cut travel/contact and stop using pubs and restaurants etc.

I’ve just been having this conversation with someone - I was due to deal with their colleague, but they’ve got a cough so they’re at home. Anyway, if we were testing like in South Korea, you’d be able to go to the drive thru if you weren’t well, get a test and know within a day whether it’s covid-19 or not. If not then you could carry on your normal life/business with a clear conscience. If confirmed then you’d know for sure you needed to stay indoors for everyone else’s sake.

I heard today that we don’t have any labs round here that are set up - any tests taken at HRI go to Leeds apparently.

It's from the new daily government press conference, it's still going on now, I'm just pulling these off Sky News tweets...

'The advice for non-essential social contact is particularly important for people over 70-years-old, pregnant women and for those with some health conditions'.

'It is now clear that the peak of the [HASHTAG]#COVID19[/HASHTAG] epidemic is coming faster in some parts of the country than others and it looks as though [HASHTAG]#London[/HASHTAG] is now a few weeks ahead'

'Households must isolate for 14 days if one member has symptoms'.

'Government will no longer support mass gatherings from tomorrow'

Not sure why the wording is this complicated, they're basically not banning mass gatherings, but don't want them to go ahead, as it may use emergency services that could be better employed elsewhere (no detail on what constitutes a mass gathering).
