Following this morning's announcement that us oldies will have to remain isolated at home for four months or more and not go out at all the very lovely Mrs Godders:emoticon-0115-inlov went straight out to the garden shed and got a shovel. I am now watching her from the conservatory as she has removed half a dozen patio slabs and is digging a bloody deep hole. At first I thought she was clearing the drains but as we haven't had a blockage I asked her what she was up to. She just looked at me with a rather satanic grin on her face. I think she is losing her marbles. What on earth reason could she have for digging a bloody big hole under the patio?

That's where she's been hiding the Nazi gold...

Sensible soccer doesn't even come close to KO2.

KO2 was a brilliant game, a truly brilliant and addictive game - but SWOS (which came our a couple years later I think) had a lot more functions that really utilisd the ful power of the Amiga 500 - 16 bit technology ! Its a tough call tho

Lol for those in the US, stay off Fox News.

Just put it on for MrsNo7 and she is in full panic mode now.

Whilst I know we are in a grave situation, Fox News has taken it to another level IMO.

Is it in the UK they're going to bring in the £1000 fine if you refuse a test ? Only a few days ago everything was hunky dory and going to mass sporting events was of low concern etc. Joke of a country.

No chance of that. They don't have the resources to test the people who have symptoms.

The media generally is not helping with any of this. Spreading panic is really irresponsible. Probably best to switch the whole lot off and just watch BBC News at 6.

The Government won't be enforcing anything. In fact, I'd guess it will be going the other way in the coming weeks. As shops put their prices up & people lose their work, add the schools kicking everyone out for a month & I can smell the London riots & looting starting up. Its just a matter of time. I'd urge you all to have a look at the security of your property in the coming days, and that window you often keep on the latch. Seriously, there will be some unsavouries ready to take advantage, and that's not me scaremongering (had the same conversation with my folks today).

In Spain you get a 25k fine if you leave your house for anything other than getting food or medicine

Why is it disgusting? If someone over 70 catches the virus unnecessarily the healthcare they will need will prevent someone else receiving it.
Unlikely Chilcs the old farts will be last in the queue for treatment. The young wippersnappers will get first dibs of whatever meager resources are available. The OFs will be left in a drafty corridor to shuffle off this mortal coil.
On a brighter note this approach from the EMA (now in Amsterdam) is promising. "EMA’s priority is to accelerate the approval of safe and effective therapeutic candidates to treat people infected by the virus as soon as possible". Happy to be living in The Hague we've even got arsewipe.

a Thousand pounds to an elderly person ?

that’s what’s disgusting . Penalising anyone for not self isolating is disgusting .

It’s not happening anyway. I agree it’s not something I’d like to see but we are getting nearer to the total lockdown stage now. Watch the News channel if you don’t believe me.
