Yeah. Every generation or thereabouts, we have a moment that we'll be remembered for, either for good or ill. It's here. There will be a lot of vulnerable people who need help, and those of us who aren't vulnerable need to step up, as it's quite likely that we'll have a surplus of free time for a while (just wash your damned hands first).

So, so many people criticising Gov & sport councils when German BL carries on. Shoe on other foot & a “few” on here would be going nuts. I can’t believe how many people are criticising an unprecedented situ. It’s difficult, critical, unknown, dynamic & we all need to pull together & do our bit. People will perish, jobs will be lost, companies will close & it’s going to be ****e. No one is going to get this right. We should ALL be trying to help everyone. Our road has just got together to extend all our Tel, mob & emails so if anyone is struggling (shopping, prescriptions, etc) we can all help. Nothing really but maybe it’s pulling us all together? That’s good isn’t it?

That is excellent. Hat's off to you GarySFC.

Rules are rules and the main one is that every club will play each other home and away and until that is completed it is just fantasy football IMO.
Also too much money at stake in the CL and relegation.

Sounds unrealistic.
Not saying it will happen, but can see some value in it. He is right about people needing cheering up and entertaining. I see that they are cutting back on production of EastEnders and various other programmes... just at the time people need distractions. Suspect this is to do with a fear of being sued by the talent if they fall ill, as much as for concern for their health.

Being facetious, but it's lucky Vera Lynn didn't refuse to entertain the troops during the war...incidentally she recently put out a message of encouragement to us all (at 103 years of age).

There is value in keeping people entertained but will valuable assets and players lives be risked?

I suppose they are thinking about playing behind closed doors...the problem is that not only would all players have to be Covid19-free or have had the disease, but so would an unknown number of support staff and TV crew. Unlikely as previously said.
