I think someone has already said this but it wont matter if we have won it if they abandon the season
That said someone else said even coronavirus wouldnt catch us
So who knows

Yep, I said it. If they abandon the season then it's incomplete, regardless of whether we've mathematically won it or not

The football authorities need to stop all international matches, and European cup competitions (which is likely now as more travel bans will be in place).

Use the international breaks to play the domestic cups, and hopefully reduce the need to extend the season.

It’s game over for the league this season. The governments own prediction is that the number of virus cases in the UK will peak in mid May. There’ll be no football until June at the earliest imo. What that means for the league, who knows.....

Cancelling football until April is effectively self isolation for players, coaches, etc. They could resume behind closed doors afterwards.

Surely that would require total isolation for all of the people involved with all of the clubs? What if they return and one person in a team gets it and once again we have a few teams in isolation?

I don’t see how they’ll be able to get it up and running again now that they’ve suspended it.

If they really wanted to get it going again behind closed doors, then it's not impossible for every individual involved in each game to be tested before they're allowed in. A bit laborious, but there's big money involved here so it wouldn't surprise me, though I don't know how quickly the results of a test could be made available.
It all really depends on what happens in the world at large over the next few weeks - if the thing is brought under control or not.

As Saint said, the level of money involved, they'll find a way

I think given the money involved they’ll be doing whatever they can to find a way to finish the season but I’m not so sure it’s going to be possible. We are at the early stages at the moment and a handful of teams have had to self isolate already. If the spread accelerated which is expected it’ll become difficult to stop any player getting it again.

Think or hope? <laugh>
