The thing is, I don't disagree that Wenger did a good job by keeping them in the top 4 all these years they were on a shoestring budget, because, like Jose, Wenger used to be a great manager, but he got stale and he stuck around long after he should have. Once the purse strings were loosened and he was able to spend money again, people assumed success would follow, and he got a couple of FA Cups.....and no league titles, then failed to get them in the CL...whether you are on his side or the fans side, he did make Arsenal toxic.
He'd quite like to yeh, but does it drive him anymore? No I don't think so. Seriously... I've never really believed the notion that his football is dated or that football has moved on from his style. Not at all imo. What's happened to Mourhino is he's lost the eye of the tiger. It happens. And watching him at United and now at Spurs, AND considering his age, I don't think he will ever get it back now. And it's not good for him as much as it isn't for the clubs he manages now.
I’m on your side, mate. The trouble is, neither of us is on Stan’s side, and that’s why he keeps throwing his dummy out of his pram.
He couldn't give a ****. He gave an interview before yesterday's game in which he said that if he was a betting man, which he isn't, he'd back Spurs to win the tie against Leipzig. He then sent his team out to play like absolute drips. He only went to Spurs for the inevitable pay off and he's clearly had enough of the job already.
I'm on the verge of deleting my avatar and flouncing like an overweight baby with a ridiculous beard.
If he can't motivate himself, he'll never motivate the players. That's where he is in his career now. Time to call it a day... or milk it for all he can.
So, you don’t think it’s possible that, in his mind - what with all of the injuries to key players and our record signing being ****e - he’s written off this season and is waiting to go again next season? Sorry to have to spell things out to you like this, but I think it’s required.
I think he's happy to use the injury to two players and the fact that the record signing is ****e as excuses to speed up his departure and get his pay off. Other managers cope with injuries, he just can't be bothered. He's happy to mug off Spurs, Levy, the fans and you.
I reckon he's got a couple more clubs to milk once he's done with Spurs, especially as his 1.5 season plan is looking like it will be a 0.5 season result.
I’ll have a years avatar bet on that fatboy but I suppose if you’re going to call 5th a romping success the terms will have to be clearly defined. @Spurlock
The last 10 years aside, finishing top half was a romping success for Spurs. Say what you want about Russian money, but we were a top 6 club prior to Roman...he just gave us that extra push.
Bod getting schooled about Arsenal by a Utd fan Wenger wasn't toxic, but the fanbase was. Even in Wenger's last few years he still managed to get top 4, CL football and 3 FA Cups.
Whereas under Maureen's stewardship, the Spurs players are jumping into the crowd to slap their own fans around
y'all aint toxic, dont be so harsh on yourself Pisk. You have your bell end elements, but what fan base doesnt. I been to Highbury dozens of times, even went in a Chelsea top once and had some good bantz with the gooners. Wenger should have left, he caused a lot of that **** by being a stubborn **** and refusing to **** off when a majority of the arsenal fan base had made their minds up. Whether you agree with his decision to stay or not, you can't argue that his decision to stay didnt make the atmosphere toxic
Hey Spurs are a joke club mate, were before Maureen, and will be after Maureen. They whipping boys, and will never be anything more.....that meltdown mentality the players exhibit isn't a Jose thing, its a Spursy thing
