It'll be fine. The wops have it a lot worse than us and their games are still being played, albeit, behind closed doors <ok>
There's still about 10 weeks to go - anything can happen in that time, given people's propensity towards mindless panic in the case of a mild threat.
I'm not joining in with the panic, just considering the possibilities. It's only a form of flu, but people do like a good disaster scenario.
Behind closed doors is the obvious solution, but there's also the chance that a number of players themselves could get it.
They're all super-fit so should just shake it off, but it would still probably keep them out for a few weeks.

I know the best case scenario is the quicker, the better, but it always was.

I've considered that possibility, but if we've won it mathematically then I'm satisfied it's done - regardless of what the record books say.
Obviously in a practical sense it's been won for weeks, but I just want it to be beyond argument.

I knew you'd say that and I intended on saying it's already wron but you went a step further with "beyond argument" <laugh>

Still is behind argument imo

It's just a precaution on Arsenal's part because they played Olympiakos with the owner present who met with some of them and he now has the virus. All their players and staff have been tested with none infected so self isolation is sensible for them at present.

seems bit pointless to me since it was 27/2/20 that they met him therefore basically the 14 day self isolation period would be up tomorrow anyway .

What? The isolation period lets you see if you develop symptoms and have the virus. They know that he does have the virus.

the game has been cancelled due to Arsenal players meeting him on 27/2/20 none of which have tested positive nor by reports have any symptoms therefore again i say they have met the 14 day period of isolation advice to see if they develop symptoms despite ,obviously since they have played twice since , not actually being in isolation .
PS they're back in training tomorrow <laugh>

Arsenal should just be awarded a 0-3 loss for failing to play. They're lucky Pep is a [HASHTAG]#bottler[/HASHTAG] and takes any excuse to delay a game.

no the period is 14 days from contact which ends tomorrow hence the players who had close contact are returning to training so if they can train with rest of squad why cannot the team play ?
You've answered your own question. Quarantine ends tomorrow so they can't play today.

since they have tested as negative and no one is worried about the portsmouth & WHam players staff i still think worrying about an extra few hours seems a bit pointless .Plus since i'm watching a bunch of people who have had contact with someone who has tested positive recently sitting next to each other on shiny green benches a tad hypocritical too .

The Portsmouth and West Ham players haven't had direct contact with someone with the virus so what's to worry about in their cases?

If you were a health expert you'd know 'an extra few hours' is all it takes to spread it. Otherwise you could say oh let's cut the quarantine by x hours, oh let's cut it to 12 days etc. etc.

I get what you're saying but it's far from pointless. I don't understand what's hypocritical though.

They're all just trying to forestall the point where we're declared champions in the hopes that the league will be declared void.
It's all a damnable conspiracy I tell you.
