Next up for City a tough trip away to Oakwell. Despite their low lying position the Tykes have had an upturn in form of late (including a three nil thumping of Fulham) and shouldn't be underestimated.

And with just 10 games left of the season.....

Div I
  • Despite an impressive lead at the top of the First Division, the MIGHTY Blue Sheep has been toppled by an impressive run from @ninian opinion, who has a 5 points margin at the summit and is looking to add to his 2016 Euro's Trophy. It is far from over and @bluescull has an outside shout whilst looking to secure a return to Top 4
  • Despite finishing 2nd & 3rd in recent seasons, @Rumney Bluebird's form had fallen off a cliff for much of this season and it looked like he wasn't going to put up much of a fight in the relegation scrap. However, a big 5 points against Forest have lit a bonfire at the bottom and long established top tier stalwarts @BluefromBridgend & @ccfcremotesupport have been dragged into the battle to stay up.
  • Whilst @taffthefish's final day relegation two season ago was harsh, it looks like achieving an immediate bounce back has been a step too far. He needs at least a 7 point swing over the next games...
TRIVIA - Two members of the top flight have been ever present since 2011. Can you name them?

Div II
  • @BrizzleBluebird keeps up the tradition of a strong debut season and until last week looked to be cruising to promotion. However, back the chasing pack have come led by @FrankfurterBlue & @blueturk the cat who enjoyed good results against Brentford. Furter is looking for a straight return after a miserable first bite at the top flight and former 2nd Tier Champion Blueturk has not competed at that level since a two season stay (that I had long forgotten about ) between 2013 & 2015.
  • Three Playoff spots are probably up for grabs, currently held by @clingo, @william5551 & @mustyfrog who could all yet crash the automatic promotion party with a strong run of form in their final 10 games. @Oldsparkey & @Jay-Rede are not too far off either <ok>

This is the year I shall dine at the top table again :emoticon-0119-puke:

It's going to be tough for Barnsley to survive in the Championship but you can bet your bottom dollar that they'll give it a go. As sheepy says, they've also had some great results lately. My gut feeling is that they will want it more than us and will turn us over.

Barnsley 3 - Cardiff City 1 (Adomah)

Thank you Mr Sheep

Beginning to know how Dave Jones used to feel as the season drew to a close.... looking like a dead certainly for promotion and then start to slide in the last couple of months :emoticon-0107-sweat

Really need some points again now after a ropey couple of predictions....

Got to keep the faith I reckon....

I'll go for Tykes 1-2 City

Feel like captain Mozza will get on the scoresheet this week...

Getting a bit of a twitchy sphincter..... talking of which, hope Masky isn't still trying to catch that bar of soap in the prison shower block!!
