It’s a flu with no current vaccine, which makes it dangerous, and there’s always the risk of it mutating into a worse strain.

It was the latest WHO figure I think. But as Comm says it will likely be skewed given the variation in healthcare standards.

Even at 1% with a 30% infection rate it’s circa 250,000 though.

Yeah, I was thinking that, they were pretty brutal with their lockdown. It will be interesting to see the final outcome across Europe, in comparison to China's lock down.

It's the pressure it will put on hospitals and police as well. They're already stretched. When it is officially classed as an epidemic here, hospitals get full, necessary treatments/operations will get cancelled. Police will probably be raiding supermarkets as ppl fight over the last bog roll because mad fckers are hoarding.
