Sir Alex Ferguson says he has no problem with Stoke's style of play ahead of Manchester United's visit to the Britannia Stadium this Saturday. Other top Premier League bosses have criticised the Potters' approach to football in the past and Chelsea and Liverpool have already dropped points against them this season. Manchester United have enjoyed their recent visits to Staffordshire, having won on all three of their trips since Stoke returned to the top flight. The Red Devils are protecting a 100 per cent record in the Premier League in the Saturday evening kick-off, while the hosts have not been beaten on home soil this season. Strengths Ferguson said: "I've never criticised it (Stoke's style of play). It's never been a problem for us. "Everyone plays to their strengths. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. "You see the progress the team is making. They have signed two or three players, they are playing European football and having a right go. "They have a great attitude and their support is brilliant. "I love the atmosphere there. If you don't attend to that you just get engulfed." That last sentence might go some way to explain why United do better than other teams at the Britannia. They don't allow the intimidating atmosphere or the narrowness of the pitch get to them, they just play their way and adapt to it, which is why they're the best team in the country by an absolute mile. They will storm the league this season in my opinion. I hate them like the rest of us, but you have to appreciate how good they are sometimes.
sgt that last sentence sums Alex Ferguson & United full stop, to win the league you need to adapt to different teams & how they play, thats why we have taken points off all the rest apart from United. In my eyes, the guy is an absolute legend.
Huthy I have lots of repsect for Fergie too! His teams can DEAL with our "style" whatever that is.. Best manager in his time without doubt.. yep he's had loads of money but so do Citeh/Chelsea but they won't win the league HOW many is it now.. Fergie, love him or loathe him, the guy is a tactical genius. His teams know how to get it done. Which, is why he respects the Mighty Potter's. They can mix it up too.. looking forward to the game already.

Yes for me Sir Alex is the best of the lot.. although Bill Shankly I liked him he was a real Character and a great manager.. INHO of course and I do remember all those mentioned. Of the other three Bill Shankly
Morning all, For my twopennyworth: 1 - Fergie, not JUST the stats but because he has broken up/created what 4 or 5 teams!! 2 - Paisley - underrated in my opinion. 3 - Cloughie - 2 European Cups on the trot 4 - Sir Bobby Robson - loved the guy plus look what he did with Barca, PSV, Porto and England. 5 - Sir Alf Ramsey (SP) won World Cup 6 - Waddo - who else Have a good day
I just want to say congratulations on Saturday, you guys were well worth the point you got from us. We missed Rooney badly and it was unfortuantely that Hernandez got injured early on, but you played a blinder. I'm glad you guys played so well and made us fight so hard to keep the point becuase even though we've played, Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea already, I'd say that Saturday was probably the hardest game so far for De Gea and in my estimation he passed. Also although it's great to put 8 past Arsenal, aside from bragging rights a game like that isn't the best spectacle, close games are much more gripping.
Dave top man!! Great game and whilst I was pleased that Rooney wasn't playing it's obvious you missed him. Out of all the other forwards Rooney would have tracked back, dropped deeper to get the ball. Beratov in particular didn't do that on Saturday. IF that was your toughest game to date in the Premier League we must have played well and we did of course.. As for De Gea what a couple of great saves from him.. And to think he went belly up his first couple of games. I'm pleased he's now showing his class for Utd. Although you were not at "full strength" I still think it's a fantastic pt for us and a draw was fair enough. Good luck for the season Dave.. Pott's
